I’ve never had a hands-free liftgate that works by waving your foot but it seems easy enough to understand. Except it doesn’t work on my new MME. I’ve tried scanning the QR code (doesn’t scan), and checking the settings on the in car manual. Really not sure if this has to be activated or if I’m just using it wrong?

And yet still appears on the photo label on the gate and in the documentation. Thank you for letting me know. I could have chased that for a long time.

That’s because it doesn’t have the feature. The plaque was too expensive to change.

You can install an after-market one: https://ev-vida.store/products/must...gate-module?_pos=1&_psq=liftgate&_ss=e&_v=1.0

But I bought one quite some time ago, but haven't installed it yet, because it's a pretty intense install:
What coincidence! This afternoon, we filmed a new video with Simon for the hands free liftgate option install. He has a new version that is easier to install. No more splicing wires, it's now just plug and play! We'll have the video ready soon but the new module is already available at EV-Vida.

Sweet, thanks Patrick! Is it just a matter of a new adapter, or has all the hardware changed? Just wondering if i could retrofit onto my older one, since i haven't installed yet. Not a big deal if not. Seems like the hard part is really just getting the wires through the door’s rubber seals.

I'm not actually sure, but if you shoot Simon at EV-Vida an email he can answer. Today's install was super easy. The hardest part was definitely just routing the wire through the one grommet. Everything else was a breeze -- and I say that as the one just holding the camera. LOL

Same hardware; what makes this easier is instead of splicing, this newer version comes pre-wired with a plug-n-play harness so you can simple plug in connectors to avoid splicing.

If you have one already (but not installed), I’m sure the place you got it from can exchange it and swap it out with one that is pre-wired plus the difference in costs. ;)

My secret desire is an automatic lift gate on the Frunk!!! Between groceries, pickleball Bag and sweaty gym clothes, I use the Frunk almost daily. Has anyone been able to convert it to "automatic" like the F150 Lightning?
