December 27th AWD ER Premium here....no buil date yet. Was hoping for May or June as well. I keep getting my hopes up only to be let down. Hahaha

I ordered the same model Nov. 13 and got a May 16 build week scheduled last Thursday. I would look towards a June build if I was you with late May or July also being reasonably possible.

My worry is the price protection. What if the dealer does not agree to do that? If the previous price hike was kind of bearable, this one increases the original price by $7k, which much more than I'm willing to pay for this car.

You'll have price protection, but you as the customer sadly need to know what that is and how to demand it if your dealer doesn't.

Maybe your dealer is one of the good ones, but I advise searching these very forums for Price Protection. There is a printout going around from Ford corporate with info.

My understanding is that Ford, let’s say, “strongly discourages” dealers from selling pre-ordered cars for anything but the originally-quoted MSRP as well as what should be on your order.

I think the dealer can technically choose to ignore all of that, at the risk of a very angry customer, potentially bad publicity, and Ford not allocating cars to that dealer as punishment. So it’s…somewhat guaranteed, I guess. But we’ll see how it actually plays out. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried about the dealer trying to pull a fast one on me…

11/10 Premium AWD ER, no production date yet. About a month ago I started asking my dealer for something in writing re: price protection. After several emails where he kept saying their Ford rep hasn’t confirmed yet, I called and LM for the GM of the dealership. The next day I got a call and email confirming I will be charged exactly the price from the day I ordered. I would rather fight with the dealer now than later when my car comes in. Luckily it worked out for me. Good luck!

did you get confirmation from your dealer that you were converted to a MY22. I have heard of some of the dealers failing to make the conversion and the order was stuck at priority 99, indication do not schedule.
