Got a railcar number, it is currently in Conway, Pennsylvania! Seems that the delay emails should be disregarded, as I received one on 04/28 stating the car will be delivered in mid-june, and Ford chat today said that the car was shipped from KC on 04/29. They are still showing an end date of June 12th but I am expecting the car in New Jersey by this week based on its current location. Hopefully that plays out well.
I am also in Conway, PA as of yesterday at 2PM - also heading to NJ. Expecting delivery by the end of the week!

Me three-- though it departed KC two days after you (overnight 4/28-4/29), my car arrived in Conway, PA this morning. Wonder if it will hang out here a few days, based on what other folks have posted in other groups. Apparently, it's a very big railcar classification yard.

If that's accurate then you've been delivered to the Argentine (BNSF) ramp for you next rail trip... But that doesn't explain why Palsapp says you are still just "picked"-- it should be "delivered" if you are already at Argentine... Maybe they just forgot to mark your car as delivered? Also, Ford Chat didn't give you a date of that last status update? Sometimes I have to ask the Ford Chat people to give me that date because it matters if your status updated to that location 7 days ago or today.
Thanks NJ I needed to hear that...a little bit more detail. I feel slightly better.?

My car finally popped up in Muncie KS. The Restaurant KC in Muncie looks like it has some pretty good reviews but hopefully the car only stopped in Muncie for a quick bite before heading out to Cali! ;)

Hoping to get some advice from this group since I'm in the 4/11 build week gang and I suspect folks here might have some insight into which of the conflicting ETAs I've received from Ford might be more accurate. I posted some of this in the 4/11 chat but didn't specifically ask for advice there so figured I'd try that here given that this group is a week ahead of us. Here's the info I've received yesterday and early this AM:
  • 5/2 afternoon via chat at Ford.com: "your vehicle has been received by a carrier at a ramp location. It was received at Ramp 5J, Lecheria Cuap, EM  on Apr-22-2022. Its current ETA is between May-11-2022 and May-17-2022." I did ask if that ETA was to the dealer and she said yes.
    • When I checked my reservation on Ford.com it still showed as "in production."
  • 5/3 early AM: got an email from Ford.com saying my car is built and undergoing final inspections to get it ready for shipment. It said the current estimate for delivery to the dealer (in NJ) was between May 11-17.
  • That email has a "View Order" button. When I click on it, it sends me to the reservations page where it now shows as shipped (in progress) but with an estimated delivery of 6/29-7/5.
Based on experiences here, any thoughts on when this might arrive at the dealer? I confess I haven't really followed the details of how to track from this point on in terms of checking rail cars, pallsap (does this still work?), etc.

Update at 8:29AM: just got a follow-up email from Ford.com now saying it is shipped and on its way, with an expected delivery of 6/29-7/5.

Chiming in with my knowledge based off my experience. It takes 1 week train ride from Mexico to Laredo, then another week from Laredo to Kansas City MO. Chances are you will be sitting at internati for an additional week as most of us in 4/4 have been. ETA To dealership should be whatever date listed under your reservation page 6/29- 7/5. It’s been exactly 3 weeks since I’ve shipped and I’m still in MO to be transferred to my next train.

This is all accurate. MO is the biggest wild card. I've been monitoring build weeks prior to ours (the March build weeks) and a lot of people seem to get their cars 3-5 weeks after the initial ship date from Mexico. It's not a hard and fast rule, just what I've been observing.

Ford seems to have a larger shipping date buffer these days, but I'm not sure if these are shipping logistics related or "let's give the worst possible outcome so people won't be pissed off at us with shipping delays" as it seems most cars are arriving before or at the beginning of the arrival time frame they are starting.

Dang, still ASN. I'm pleased to see that the NJ people are having their cars move pretty quickly from KC to the northeast. Gives me hope that once mine is through KC it will be in NY before too long. Still disappointed in the seemingly random pick dates.

Yeah - mine actually never moved to picked status. I went straight from ASN to Delivered to Norfolk Southern in Birmingham, MO.

I just did my weekly check in with Ford Chat. Still no update since the last week:

In Transit and Arrived Rail - Railcar # AOK 502728 (Kansas City Southern Railway Co ) at Internati, MO. The estimated time of arrival is 5/23/22.

Continues to show "ASN" on tracker.app

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure it will help, but can someone remind me how we can track once it ships? What app do you use and what inputs do you need for it to work?

As others have mentioned, KC seems to be a big wildcard. A few of us spent less then a week there (getting moved from one railyard to another) but others seem to have been there 2+weeks already or arrived a bit later on a slower train from Mexico. FWIW, I think it's just a coincidence that me and @MattyMachE from NJ have moved faster-- I can't see why they'd go through the effort of picking our cars out for faster movement? Maybe Norfolk Southern is less backed up compared to UP and BNSF (westbound deliveries) but that doesn't explain why there are still some eastbound folks getting held up in Kansas City.

In terms of what to expect for shipping, I'd start out by adding whatever delay you had since you got the first estimated delivery window, and consider that a best case scenario. So assuming you got the first delivery estimate around the 15th or 16th of April (towards the end of the 4/11 build week) I'd add 2.5 weeks to your delivery estimate, which would put you into early June if I'm not mistaken. I think that's the best case scenario for an NJ delivery. FWIW, my car was shipped out on 4/8 and is currently near Pittsburgh, PA on a Norfolk Southern train. My arrival estimate was 5/3-5/9-- that window starts today. I'm not sure I'm going to quite make that estimate, but it should be close. And that seems to be with everything going pretty perfectly. So for NJ-- 1 month if all goes perfectly seems reasonable.
