So happy you are enjoying your car!

I have also been considering getting a tint. I only have to charge once a week around the city (it drops from 100% to 60-67%). Learning one pedal driving has been a god-send for battery regin. I am getting better at it, but it makes a huge difference.
I need to learn the one pedal ways as well. Will take some getting used to.

I have been using 1 pedal driving for so long (have a Model 3 ATM), I try to use it in my wife's CX-5 and other ICE cars lol. End up doing a lot of coasting, maybe it helps a bit ?
I did a lot of coasting in my Prius C, it had regin breaking. The Mach-E seems to break more aggressively and its LEGIT twice the weight of my last car, so its been a lot of me learning how to time the coasting with the added weight and different breaking systems.

I was using it at first, but it gets me into trouble when I'm in a parking lot or stopped at a light because my brain has been wired for the last 30+ years to NOT use the gas pedal and just use the brake when backing out of parking spots. I almost rear-ended someone at a stoplight because my brain thought my foot was on the brake and pressed it when I was actually using the accelerator pedal.

You can get lots of regen in Unbridled mode, even with 1PD turned off.

I've been hesitant to turn it on for the same reasons. Considering the 'brake scores' I keep seeing flash across the console, I'm using Regen about 95-100% of the time even without OPD.

I've had a couple of close calls and moments when I'm like, "why isn't this car working?!" And of course it's user error haha. One pedal driving was difficult the first couple of weeks but now I don't think about it much. I have had to use the break sometimes in heavy traffic. Someone threw on breaks yesterday and I had to use it then, for example.

I heard about the regen in unbridled mode. I'll have to try it.

Every time I pass a gas station I think, do I need to fill up.....mmmm nope?

Finally got my gate programmed on my homelink!! Yaaaaa. Garage was easy peasy. But gate was being difficult ?. Going to go on my first mini road trip today. 1 hr away. Excited to show my daughter Storm Trooper?
I had a heck of a time with my garage. Once I finally got it working, my outside keypad on the house didn’t work. Doh!

If you press the "L" button on the gear selector, it will give you regen. I think the idea is for it to act like a "low" gear, which would be beneficial going down hills (I live in Delaware, we don't have hills) but it also acts as a fairly aggressive regen brake when not on the throttle. It won't stop the car, but will slow you down considerably.

An update on the recall, my VIN now populates on the main NHTSA site. Its actually pretty clear language on what could go wrong. Still no notificaiton on the main Ford app or in the Ford recall section of their website. If anyone is interested:

Thanks for sharing.
I think that the part people (in other threads) seem to be missing is what Ford didn’t say.
They didn’t say “stop driving fast”
They didn’t say “stop using DCFCs”

They simply mentioned that those were the conditions that could cause problems in affected cars.

Of course, then you have to cue up all the conspiracy theorists… LOL.

As someone who’s had cars subjected to safety recalls in the past, most often times the number of affected vehicles (ones that exhibit the issue) is a lot fewer than the number recalled. For example, I had a “faulty door latch” recall on my 2014 Escape. I never had an issue with it, and it never exhibited any signs of the defect. But Ford replaced it anyway.

I know it feels like Russian Roulette, but I’m still thinking that while very real, the actual # of cars with a potentially faulty part is low.

Either that or I’m just a fan boy drinking the Kool-Aid again.

Happy Sunday!
Enjoy your MMEs!

As a bit of a change of topic, has anyone elected to get some form of paint protection through their dealership? If so, what was your experience with it, and do you think it was worth the extra cost?

I had been considering getting ceramic coating or PPF sometime after taking possession. However, my car is currently sitting in recall jail at the dealership. I'm contemplating whether now is a good time to get it done since I don't have to worry about being without a vehicle or getting damage prior to getting something done.

I've been using unbridled 1 pedal and getting used to it. After reading ur msg, I changed to different setting and can only see the regen message when I'm not in 1 pedal. What gives? It doesn't or can't tell us "all the time"?

Can't for me. A. Don't wanna spend the money right now. B. Don't Wanna be w/out my car, I will cry. C. I could be wrong, but heard it only lasts 8 months?‍♀.

But hey sounds like it's a no Brainer, if u wanna "pony" up the cash?. Is it worth it, idk.

I got PPF and ceramic coating privately done. Paid $3.5k, my mind tells me it was a total waste, but it’s been done, no going back. Let’s see how well it holds up.

I guess I need to switch to unbridled since it's so popular!
