Woot! my turn to have an updated in Palsapp!! :)

My car's status says "Delivered on Nov 9th 2021"
Origin: Kansas City (unchanged)
Destination: BIRMINGHAM, MO
Destination Name: NORFOLK SOUTHERN (VOLTZ)

My guess this means, that the car is being moved from the rail yard in KC to some other shipping yard.

When I do a quick google search of `NORFOLK SOUTHERN (VOLTZ)` I see that Norfolk is a train shipping company.

So now it's time to see if I can figure out how to track my car on their trains...

Mine wasn't on that shipment. Mine still is en route to KC, or at least hasn't been updated ....

Mine must be on the same shipment. I just saw the change today and have the same destination and everything. I was wondering if Voltz is a ramp or something that Norfolk Southern uses.

Yeah tbh I'm not sure.

When I look at palsapp, it says delivered, to destination "NORFOLK SOUTHERN (VOLTZ)".

After having a bit of time to mentally digest what I'm seeing, it would appear that the car went right through Kansas City and straight on to Birmingham, MO (which is just a bit NW of KCMO).

Now that it's been delivered to Birmingham, it's getting moved to the next mode of transport.

When I look up what Norfolk does, it seems that they only ship to the Eastern half of the country. With Missouri being the furthest West they go.

This leads me to believe that, we're gonna be in the dark from now till the ford Tracker says our car was delivered (or we get a call from our dealer). Since the status for our delivery on Palsapp says "delivered".

I have no idea if the car will arrive in CO by train or by truck.

I called my dealer to see if he could give me a bit of info, maybe pull up the VRR but didn't answer so I left a voicemail. I'll call again tomorrow.

But all that being said, I honestly feel like it's a matter off days now before delivery. Birmingham is only about 9 hours away.

I'm going to assume they won't ship out till tomorrow morning, but that means they should be in Denver by tomorrow evening. Then the next day maybe get moved to another truck, to come up North to Fort Collins. I'll even add on a day or two that means I could see my car by Friday or Saturday, this week!

I know I'm getting ahead of myself here... but I'm excited!

You'll need to have your dealer provide the railcar number from the VOLTZ shipment once it's connected and ready for dispatch. From there, you could track if you had access to their AccessNS system.

I'll provide a few notes for you:
  • Birmingham is within trucking distance from MO - I've discussed this with another member and they were waiting to hear from their dealer rep for a VVR update to determine if the second leg is by truck or train.
  • Your MME won't leave Birmingham for about 3 days from it's arrival. Your MME was unloaded from it's railcar, moved to a lot and is waiting to be reloaded into a new VOLTZ railcar.
  • VVR also won't show any updates for about 4-5 days from your palsapp update (what I've noticed myself and from others getting reports from their dealer).

What does a transit date of “32” mean? My final deliver date estimate is now 12/22 with a transit date of 32.

32 days to LAST estimated delivery date. Most MMEs are delivered 1-2 weeks prior to this date.

My ordered Mach-E was delivered to Muncie today per palsapp. Original expected delivery date range was 12/10-12/16. Have a 3-week trip coming up on 11/27, so what are the odds I would receive the car within 2 weeks here in San Diego?

Betting odds? +220. ;)

I think reasonably it will take about 2.5-3 weeks from everything I have seen. That said, someone recently also got one to SD from Muncie in 12 days. That's what makes gambling so inconsistent.. Haha
