This feels like a dealer scam to just get you to cancel your reservation so they could flip for MSRP plus mark up. The car magically appearing after you canceled is really shady.

I suspect that to be the case but of course we cannot prove it.

I will send a letter to Ford detailing what happened and I have submitted a review of Corwin on Google. Nothing more we can do but put it behind us. These are crazy times!

Not that it will help you but Motortrend posted an article today about “Ford punishing dealers caught Price-Gouging popular EV’s.” Interesting read talking about how it will hurt dealer allocations in the future. Possibly will help those in the future Mustang Mach E market as well as those ordering the F-150 Lightning.

I do plan on sending a letter to Ford detailing the events. I will also call Ford and provide the details.

FYI - Kia EV6 will be arriving at Kia dealers next week.

We have a deposit on the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Kia EV6. They are both due in 2/18/2022.

We will probably go with the Volvo.

Maybe the fiasco with the MME is a blessing.

I will see you soon on the XC40 Recharge forums! Truly the worst MME story I have heard was what you went through. Hope it all works out well with the XC40 delivery.

Here in NorCal it is 81 degrees. I am happy that last week I figured out that my dash vents were all rolled down and off. I had the car for a month at that point - I had casually wondered why airflow was low. Forum search - this is a common occurrence.
Don't be a vent nube like me .

Same thing happened to me. Vents are closed from the factory and you need to roll up

Congrats! One in the hand is better than a 2021 in the bush of Mexico as I always say.

I still think the MME looks sharper but maybe thats just me trying to convince myself it's ok to wait a year to pay full price for a 2021 MME.

I agree that the MME looks a bit better. The EV6 GT cost the same as the Premium but is s 2022 and is not a Ford. I am biased against Ford given how I was treated by them and the dealer.

I think the MME is a good car.

Don't blame your bias at all. I'm telling the dealer this is likely the last Ford I'm buying. This coming from the grandson of a Ford Dealer.

Good choice. my friend just booked one too and is picking up next week. and i totally agree with your bias too. I am glad I didnt get the MME as well.

Did you get your XC40 Recharge yet? It was a tough choice going with the EV6. I personally liked the XC40 Recharge better but my wife got the nod for the EV6.

I think you will really enjoy the XC40-Recharge.
