Mine has been in KC (Richard Gebaurs) since Dec 14. Ford told me today they cannot do anything until ETA date expires which should be on Jan 12. Said I can call on the 13th and request it to be escalated if it has not moved since then. Guess we will see.
Well any attempts to escalate are futile because @Ford Motor Company just moves the ETA date as soon as it expires making it impossible to get any escalation done on behalf of the consumer. My date moved to Jan 16 and when I checked today the date had once again been moved to 2/1-2/7 (although my salesperson says it shows 2/4 so the Ford systems don't even agree). As of today the vehicle has now sat idle at Ramp 6 in Kansas City for over a month and there is no chip shortage to cause vehicles to hold awaiting install.

Having been a long time, exclusively Ford driver I am now weighing my options of jumping ship and going with another manufacturer over this poor execution on behalf of Ford's logistics chain. Any attempts to contact Ford via their published methods only give you access to social media staff who can only use your VIN to look up status and point you back to your dealership with any issues on the order status so that is pretty much worthless.

Ordered on 8/31/22, in production 11/25/22, built 12/1/22, in Kansas City 12/14/22, current ETA by 2/4/23.

- 12 weeks from order to production
- 1 week from production to built
- 2 weeks from built to KC Railyard
- 7.5 weeks from KC railyard to current ETA

So 22.5 weeks from order to delivery if it were to arrive by current ETA. I don't have much faith it will arrive by then though due to all the repeated pushes to that date but when ordered Ford estimated 18-24 weeks I believe so still within that window. I do know that this delay is much less than those who ordered last year had to deal with though. But frustrating when you see deliveries being made for vehicles made in the same week.

But I also know...first world problems so will wait it out more and see what transpires next before I give up.

Sorry to hear about your situation. That sucks for sure. I have been less than impressed with the shipping logistics of this whole operation. I get that cars are big, but it sure seems like there's no control over any of it. It's just put it in a train car and hope for the best.

I guess that's what happens when you have a centuries old rail industry mostly unwilling and unpressed to change.

I'm so sorry man.

How badly do you need the car? Would it help you to just put checking up on its status on the backburner?

I share in your frustration.

To be fair, I think this whole operation is not meant to be exposed to us end users and has been like this for the dealers all along. Ford is using their standard factory to dealer distribution system. Unlike Tesla, which had to build their whole distribution system from scratch,, Ford won't do it as long as they are tied to the dealership model. There aren't any incentives for Ford to shell out big money for an improved distribution system.

It is not that I NEED the car. I am just frustrated with the constant movement of dates and unwillingness of anyone at Ford to do anything. Like I said, first world problems lol.

I won't be checking any more until the week after next now that they date has moved out so far. It has never moved more than a few days with all the other updates. This is the first time it moved out 2 weeks.

I feel your pain. I am in the 10/31 build. In production 11/4, built 12/7, shipped 12/9, been in KC since 01/02. ETA is by 01/22. We will see.

Yes, the system sucks. There's very little transparency.

But if you get your vehicle in 22 weeks from time of order you should consider yourself lucky.

If my current ETA holds, it will have been 10 months from time of order to delivery. I was quoted 20+ weeks at time of ordering, and my dealer said 6-9 months. So neither one came true.

It sucks all around, but 22 weeks is very good considering what most of us experienced.

Yes indeed...that is why I noted it was not anything like what you all that ordered '22s experienced. And the 22 weeks would still be in the window that was quoted on website when ordered of 18-24 weeks. I just would rather have a firm(ish) date set and not have them keep pulling the football away when Charlie Brown is ready to kick it. I hope your ETA holds and does not shift any more.

Waited 10 months and counting here.
Do you know where your car is? Is it in Richmond too?

Mine's been sitting in Richmond Ramp 84 since last Tuesday...with no comment from anyone when it will make it the last 30 miles to the dealer.

The last comment from FC was that it was still in KS. My sales said it was waiting in so cal, there’s a shortage of truckers, and it should be delivered by 1/17. I tell myself, if I wait, there’s a chance Ford will announce new promotions, lease credits.

Lol, this is puerly comical now. The ETA is a random number generator. Today my ETA slipped again after previously being pushed out and pulled in...

"Mach-e is in transit located at Ramp 84, Port Richmond, CA as of 01/11/2023. I show an ETA date range of 01/20/2023-01/26/2023 "

Was that from MH or FC? I'm sure Ford (traditional ship cars to dealership and sit in the lot model) is not used to providing tracking information and accurate delivery dates. ?

FC, MH told me last week they don't know when it will come from Richmond....

Apparently I've been pestering FC so much, today I ended up chatting with someone I had already talked to before...

I have talked to two people more than once in my calls. I probably am flagged the way Elaine was in the doctor's office. I have decided I need to quit complaining and looking and just ride it out since those who ordered 22's have had it so much worse...my wait seems like a mere few minutes compared to their ordeal.
