11/7/22 Build Week Thread for 2023 MME's

I tried Ford chat for the first time.
All I was able to get out of FC was that it's In Transit, and the status was updated 11/15 to be in Lecheria, EM. They "couldn't find" any rail car info.
They gave the same 12/17-12/23 estimate the Ford tracker has.

Sadly, I just got a production delayed email from Ford... guess it won't be coming this year. I ordered in March.

We understand it has been too long since you last heard from us. Just wanted to give you an update on the status of your Mustang Mach-E GT order. While production of your vehicle was projected to begin the week of November 7, 2022, supply chain challenges continue to cause delays and uncertainty.

This is frustrating, we get it. We want nothing more than to get your Ford up on the line and start assembling it. And we will continue to work hard to reduce the delays to try to get you on the road in your new vehicle soon.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we get more information, at least once every 45 days. Hang in there. We really do appreciate your patience and understanding.

thanks - maybe i should try to make contact with someone else in the dealership. this particular guy claims to be the 'model expert' for the MME or something like that, but hasn't been super helpful.

I spoke with Sohail today via text. I reached out to see if they had any location info (I don't know how to find rail numbers, and haven't found the thread again with that link or instructions, and actually don't know what that means). He said my MME is in Laredo, TX. He confirmed the ETA 12/7 - 12/13, with the disclaimer that he has seen slight delays due to transportation. ? Fingers crossed!

I received this email just now:

Wonder if it is actually about my Lightning order as the MachE GT shows as built and shipped on the status page. Hmmmm.

Dealer says my car is in Laredo, Texas!

He went on to say that the automated systems are not currently reliable indicators of actual status. He said he has had cases where the factory called to say a vehicle was going to be delayed in manufacturing when it was already on the lot. Others times saying a month out and it arrived the next day.

I wouldn't put much stock into those emails. I'm from the 10/10 build group. After mine was built and shipped, I also got a similar email. It's just an automated message to cause everyone to panic. ?

However, mine has been stuck at the dreaded 6m ramp since Nov 1...

Normally I wouldn't as I've been getting these types of emails all year, but this one specifically called out the Nov 7 build week for my car and acknowledged it hadn't been built yet. Still might be generic automated every 45 day emails, but was a little more specific than the ones I've seen before.

found a tracking method in the 10/10 thread - united road logistics.

my VIN is in their system, however, they are only contracted to take the car from Richmond, CA to Walnut Creek, which is like a 45 minute drive at the worst. the origin in Richmond is the "JP Lot" which according to BNSF's website is one of their "automotive facilities."

this might mean that cars destined for the bay area don't get offloaded at riverside, but continue by rail to this lot. i guess this makes sense.

Yes shipped with an eta 12/10-12/16 Los Angeles rail car and location has been moving closer towards Arizona/Mexico border.

no, it is AOK 501589 and CSX has no info on it. BNSF has an automated phone system too so i was just about to try to figure out if they have railcar tracking.

well it turns out that apparently random people can't track BNSF trains. you need some kind of account. not really sure if my traincar number is a BNSF number or not, but i do know that CSX has no status.

I received the same email about "Production was scheduled for the week of Nov 7 but supply chain issues continue to be our generic excuse for why we aren't actually telling you any useful information." (It might be that the email said something else, but that's the message I took from it.)

I have the Emporia. Electrician installed it on Mon. I had them install a 100A sub-panel in the garage to hardwire the charger, and put in a NEMA 14-50 as a backup or people visiting. Just waiting for my E-Pony to show up!

This thread has good info on L2 EVSEs. It was what I used to decide which EVSE to get.

Thanks for the pic. I just finalized my decision to go with the Emporia. Anyone on the fence, they have a sale currently on them for $100 off. Figured that was too good to pass up. Now I just need the car to get here. Which apparently is in transit with a delivery date of 12/20-12/26.

Thank you for being a calmer head in this mess, even with your car still stuck. Just read my email with Ford's "update" about my order. My 11/7 production did not start until Tuesday 11/15, so it's sort of correct, just useless due to timing.

I've got BCE modules, a tear tag, and this same delay of production email. It's too late to check in with my dealer or Ford chat tonight. Maybe tomorrow will bring better news.

The “F” in ford is the grade letter deserved for being transparent and timely in communication. Had it not been for this website I’d never know anything about the status of my mach-e build.

appreciative to the folks that wrote these apps.

I’m a 11/17 build no change in mine no modules nothing. When I ask Ford Chat all I get is “It’s in Production”

Im actually starting to lose hope already on getting it prior to 23…

Scott - mine still doesn't show anything under pcm either, but it's in transit - so I hope that's normal.

Cory - Train-buddies! Seems surprising your estimate is a week-ish later than mine.

Any new tracking updates ? I’m also from twin cities, Shipped today, just curious ?
