Amazing 12V FAQ! Such a nice thorough impressive job! Thank you.
Most all posts here following, require far too much technical effort for me. But they make for very interesting reading.
My 21 AWD ER since new has not had an issue with the LVB. I don’t want to take the frunk panels out because, even dealers break some of the clips. But I did buy some 50mm plastic caps for cutting holes above 12V terminals in case I ever needed jump access. Just haven’t cut holes yet.
Anyway I travel quite a bit so this MME sits sometimes up to month. I’ve not had any 12V issues ever on return, (yet) and it entered a deep sleep state once. But I normally drop in a couple times weekly by FordPass to check on it, refresh it, by remote locking/unlocking if necessary to get a current reading.
My question is at the end of Feb I am going away for 50days. It’ll be on my Uk gated drive, covered. I am wondering if I should do more before leaving?
Can I leave it plugged in on Level 1 @ 2kWh set to charge HVB daily for a couple hours set to 60%
But I also have a small smart battery maintainer/ charger that’s says it’s AGM compatible.. Just hesitant on pulling panels.
Also any ideas on OBD2 charging or tending?
I see NOCO etc advertising them. But nothing anywhere about using them on an MME and how it might affect the BMS if it does charge connect? .
Any thoughts or suggestions? I really appreciate it a lot!
Thanks ??
