Article on Car and Driver.

There are very, very few details as of yet, but I'm super interested. My first impression is that it looks like it'll be a Mach-E, but with 800v charging architecture, possibly better performance, and Super Cruise (maybe even Ultra Cruise?!).

If there's any way to get the C6 taillights on this thing (I am a 90s child), I would be very, very tempted to trade in.

At this point I feel like GM has announced more EVs in the last year than they've produced.

Yeah, I’m good. I’m glad more options are coming. I’m not in the market for the next 5-6 years or more.

Why must all these manufacturers insist on destroying all their most honored nameplates?

They need the name recognition to help them compete with other EV automobile manufacturers. It's the same reason Ford called the Mach-E a Mustang. Nobody would have given two shits if Ford announced an all new EV called the [insert generic name here] but call it a Mustang and everybody notices.

Because, like it or not, SUV's are the desired vehicle today. And a Corvette SUV might be the desired vehicle for a guy that just realized that his current 2-seater Vette is not going to cut it for Costco trips with the family.

Look at Porsche.
