So why not give 2.8.3 straight away to job 2 cars? Sloppy...
Because 2.8.3 is a package update that doesn't include a new GWM update.

2.8.3 - Do we even have it yet??? For Job2 it will add 2 games and better OTA scheduling. I don't think we have it yet, but I don't think me telling you what's in it is confidential.

I would like the 2 games, may come in handy while I am waiting for the tow truck.

Exactly, but we also need a couple other new games while the tow truck is damaging the battery pack.

Anyway, I don't really care about 2.8.3 whatever. I care about being stranded and getting a real fix for this contactor problem. Well, also the 17 module updates which I'm apparently not allowed to have.

I've had recall fixes on my prior cars take over a month before the NHTSA site was updated to say recall complete so I'm not sweating that the 22S41 install I had completed last Thursday morning says Incomplete.
Just called my dealer who performed the recall on June 30. It still doesn't show on the NHTSA website, but she told me it takes 30-40 days to get through all the systems (including FDRS).

She is wildly incorrect about FDRS. The final step when updating is communication to Ford servers and the database is updated in seconds. OTA results take about 24-48 hours to appear in FDRS. As for recall status, that's not even in FDRS (possibly available in dealer license, IDK). So she's not informed on that well.

Her comments about the NHTSA, could very well be correct.

My guess is most dealership service advisors don’t have all the facts if any. Just pushing paper along , that it.

Mine just ran my VIN and it still doesn't show recall needed like it did last week. Something is Fubar'ed. I also suspect hooking it up Saturday to a non existent recall when the server was down, screwed it up. Maybe some day an OTA will then correct that, but I'm not optimistic. This shouldn't be this hard to figure out. Ford is not communicating to dealers properly if at all about this. I've now seen this run down first hand up the chain. All misinformation... ugh...

I’m scheduled for my software recall update tomorrow. When they are done, how do I, or anyone without FDRS, know for sure they applied the correct update?

I'm not sure there is a reliable way at this point other than via OTA to be sure.

Yes we can see if they did the recall immediately after using a VIN and the tools some of us have.

Does anyone have any info as to when the dealers system will see recall needed in un-patched cars again? As of toady it's still a nope.

We can see in FDRS if the recall modules have been updated. That system is restored. Dealers have many more tools than we do. I don't think there's a lack of dealers knowing.

I took the service report from another member who had update completed and showed my service advisor and finally got them to do it today.
