Just got my built (not shipped) email. Delivery July 18-24th to CT. BATCH 5272.

Wow 10-11 weeks to ship a car; unreal ! That would be about 10 months from order-to-delivery with 30% of this wait time attributable to shipping. So much for having the Mach-e for the summer. This is feeling like September, something is bound to go wrong and I’m still in Mexico. I know, others have at it worse. I think some in the 4/4 build group will have their cars before I cross out of Mexico. Something happened down there.

Just be aware that some of us got "built" emails with one ETA, but then shortly after got a "shipped" email from Ford with a much later date. I posted my experience with that in this thread on Tuesday I think. My ETA went from 5/11-5/17 to 6/29-7/3. I'm hoping, as @NewGuy pointed out, that that later estimate is just Ford being conservative and that the truth is somewhere in between.

My dealer just shared with me the tracking sheet for my vehicle and one they just got. The one they just got took 29 days to go from "shipped" to arrival at the dealer in NJ. Mine is projecting at 55-61 days. I wonder if that's just a conservative estimate or if it's taking that much longer to make the trek.
Knowing that my dealer is in the same part of NJ as yours, I can tell you I'm on Day 29 of shipment and my Mach-E is at the Newark autoramp waiting to get unloaded and trucked over. So should be arriving within the next week. I can't imagine double that is a typical transit time to NJ. Possible yes, especially given the potential congestion in KC, but seems unlikely unless Ford knows something we don't.

So if the same date change relationship, from built to ship applies, my date moves to August. There seems to be a big date gap with those of you built/shipped earlier this week. I wonder if all the trains are leaving and I need to wait for one to come back? I mean, Ford does not care; what else could cause a 10-now maybe 14 week shipping estimate? On July 1st I start paying for Ubers and vacation rental cars. My dwindling fleet is spoken for this summer. I’m going to start figuring out what is my break even ADM pain threshold is and maybe upgrade to a GT. If I can do it next week, I will. It would be wild luck as the GT ADMS are anywhere from $10-20K, which I am not paying up for.

Ford chat said my car was ”in transit“ (5/3) and at the moment in Lecheria, which is about 3 miles from the Cuautitlan plant. So I wonder if some of these long ship times are due to the cars just not getting out of Mexico very quickly. Could be a shipping jam.

With your railcar number KCS should be able to give you a more precise location. Ford Chat only has two waypoints along the way to KC- Lecheria and Laredo, TX.

Interesting. Chatting with Ford I often feel like space and time have collapsed: There are only two points between Mexico and Kansas City. Your car will either arrive tomorrow or your car will arrive in three months. Or: your car will arrive both tomorrow and in three months. Your car has not been built but your car has been shipped. The laws of the universe don't seem to apply to this company.

I just got my shipped email and my shipping estimate has not changed. The expected delivery date to Connecticut is July 18-24. This is more than two months... WTF! Does anyone have additional insight into what is going on? Is there anyone else in batch 5272 just getting their built or shipped notification? It seems like our siblings in batch 5272 were shipped last week and have much better delivery dates? I'm a complainer but Ford should be bending over backward to streamline delays where they best can to make up for already long and unpredictable wait times. Oh, right- they have more demand than they can handle so why should they care about something already sold.

My guess as to what happened is they built and shipped the 4/4 vehicles. Then they built 4/11 vehicles and put them in storage. Then they finished some January vehicles that were on chip hold and got them out the door. Then came back to ship ours.

Go look at the 1/10 build week chat. They are barely ahead of us and seem to be behind 4/4.

Hopefully the delivery dates they are giving us are padded by a bunch and not reflective of the current state of shipping delays.

Got built email over the weekend, too. Estimated delivery June 25-July 1. I only spend a few minutes a week thinking about this, usually at the gas station.
