I guess it’s possible something changed since it was a PCM update I think

Now that you mention it, I felt yesterday like the regen in Engage (it's all I drive in unless I'm BlueCruising on the hway, then I'm in Whisper) was a little less "engaged". I'll pay a bit more attention today

The steering “feel” is different between drive modes. I believe this is in the manual. So it is highly possible Ford altered the steering resistance through the update. This may contribute to what some are noticing.

First thing I noticed today was the lighter steering, which is very unwelcome. Most of the time I prefer Engage for it’s nice balance, but have lately been driving more in Unbridled for the extra 1PD regen and have been appreciating the firmer steering. I’m only ever in Whisper when I’m trying to be more careful with acceleration (sleeping kids, dog in the back, a little extra range care), but hate the steering feel. Pulling out today in Engaged, I did a double-take to make sure I didn’t somehow get put in Whisper during the update, the steering was so light. Switched over the Unbridled and it’s almost as light. Maaaaaaybe as firm as Engaged used to be. Call me crazy, but it also felt like it was lighter turning left than right. I took a peek at my air pressure, thinking I had blown a tire or something.

Came here today to see if it was just me. Glad and disappointed to see it’s not.

Do we think this was intentional or an unintended bug?

Changing the drive mode feel after people have gotten used to them over years seems like a bad idea. I don't have 4.2.6 yet but I will report back once it lands.

OK I am fully ready for the "what an idiot" comments, but I went driving around in my usual areas after the 4.2.6 update and I could swear it is driving smoother, and less bouncy, and I can very much notice a difference between Whisper and Unbridled mode in how it feels (the handling, not the suspension). Is it even possible to adjust suspension via OTA updates?
On the GT Performance with magneto ride, surely. The rest of the lineup, I don't think so.

Upgraded to 4.2.6 2 days ago and I read on the Forum that it might help front motor "whine". I have that between 28-32 mph. I might be imagining it but it seemed to help yesterday during city driving and the car was quieter up to 40 mph. Will have to drive more to see if I was dreaming or it helped!

I've got a '22 Premium AWD ER.....

Hi Everyone, interesting I checked my new 2023 Mach-e GT software and is 4.2.2.2 and says its up to date. Ford apparently pushes this out in a controlled way?

I wish we'd be able to fully customize everything. Let me have Unbridled's acceleration mapping with Whisper's steering feel and Engaged's lack of screen animation if I want.

Make me menu dive for it even if they don't want to confuse "normies" who just want to get in and drive and maybe play around with 3 different drive modes.

I've been using 1PD Unbridle lately but I gotta say, sometimes the orange animation on the screen feels a bit "young" for me. I'd love to have Engaged's lack of animation with whatever drive mode I'm on. But also don't fully delete the Unbridle animation because sometimes I do like feeling like I'm in an EV version of the Fast and the Furious lol.

It's a good thing I don't have feelings.... ?
After I posted that I began to worry that I offended you. I'm glad I didn't. Cheers!
