I just had a weird update from the live chat. So my delivery date got pushed a week to 10/22-10/29 so I messaged chat to ask if there was an accompanying update. They told me my order now showed as “shipped convoy to ramp 6R Richards-Gebaur” with an accompanying Jack Cooper Transit number.

My window sticker says RAIL. Also, my order was marked as location ramp 6R at Richards Gebaur since 10/7. So I asked for some clarification if they meant the convoy was shipping TO or FROM Richards Gebaur since the car has supposedly already been there for a week and if my order was now being Delivered convoy rather than rail. They unfortunately said they had no further clarification beyond that update…

not sure what to think lol.

Weird- exact same info they gave me.

I'm starting to see a lot of delivery dates being pushed out - hopefully we get out of there soon!

From reading some pre-mach e era posts about fords shipping it sounds like RAIL means that the vehicle is being loaded at a rail yard at the factory and ultimately traveling to a rail yard in some location near enough to its final destination where it is then loaded onto a truck to reach the dealership. Whereas CONVOY means it is either traveling by truck from the dealership to it’s final destination if it’s already close enough (likely not the case with mach-e) or it can also mean it’s traveling initially by convoy to a more distant rail yard where it then travels to a location near enough to its final destination to then be delivered by truck.

So I am not sure if I should (optimistically) take this to mean the car is being loaded onto a truck to then be delivered to the dealership in my case? I am in Michigan so it’s about 10 hours away which doesn’t seem to be the most absurd idea..

My delivery estimate on the website just pushed back from 10/9-10/15 to 10/22 - 10/28. So I think the stagnation in KC is real.

My MME unit (batch 8071, built 9/13) with delivery ETA 10/9 to 10/15, just had delivery ETA pushed out another 26 days to 11/4-11/10. I agree, the KC "stagnation" really "stinks".

My conclusion is no one really has much insight into the shipping or whats going on. I think its likely you are probably getting moved to convoy though, but who really knows.

Got a new (to me) person in chat that was VERY slow to respond and made me tell them all the info it asks for when you start a chat. Strange experience. ?‍ Hopefully it's not going to sit around as long as @Bigfeets did and then get pushed back even further!

So mine arrived at dealer today in Shakopee on Day #1 of estimate. Going in tomorrow to pick it up!

Hopefully they are decent and are fair with potential trade in.

That's awesome! Have you tracked its whereabouts or transport method in the past week? I'm hoping I was on that same truck up here.

I checked today, exact same as you. I had a rail car number with AOK, but I imagine that was the train that got it to KC. It seems internati, Gebaur and other areas around KC are a black hole.

i have no idea if this email means anything and my dealer hasn’t reached out to me, but the website seems to imply that it’s delivered bc the shipping bubble is now filled.

edit: I just checked and it’s there. Honestly it’s the worst timing bc I changed my work schedule due to the delay and I can’t pick it up until Tuesday so hopefully they’re OK waiting.

As of yesterday 12:48CT, Shipped Convoy with Jack Cooper Transport with a convoy number at the Richards-Gebaur location. I looked it up and it's about 820 miles from there to my town, around 13.5 hour drive. Curious if it's actually on the truck coming or if it's just being moved to a different train. Still have the 20-26th delivery window, but wonder if it'll show up early. Heading to Toronto tonight to see a friend for the weekend, so that'll be a good distraction! ?
