9/19 week Build Group

My car arrived to Rolla - which is probably a 20 minute drive to my dealership - but it’s going to take two more weeks for it to be transported from there to my dealer per my dealer today. Lol. This process really is bonkers!!!

Mine was at Rolla on Sunday and Dealer sold it to me on Wednesday. Dealer Got it on Tuesday. My dealer said Schomp is paying for priority. I am not sure how true is it.

Honestly I kind of believe that. My experiences with Schomp dealerships have been five stars so I bet that is true. I’m really not sure why it didn’t occur to me to buy my car through them now that I think about it but it’s a little too late to do anything more than wait patiently…

Since the Roper yard is right down the street from where I work, I thought I'd pop in and see what they would tell me. I walked in and there is no front desk - very industrial as you might imagine. After wondering around a bit - waiting for security of somebody to grab me - I found someone walking out of their office on their phone. He was a bit startled to see me, but when I asked him about unloading cars, he said they were behind but they are trying to get all of them offloaded tonight. That's my stalking for the day. I stopped just before wandering the yard and opening up railcars...

I would have done that too. Last time around I did some digging from here in Idaho and found numbers and names of people to call and check on status - that's how I found out my car was dead and would be delayed from it's scheduled arrival to the dealer until repaired.

I just did a check on the Union Pacific voice tracing and the new status as of 9:37 this morning was "Actual Placement" - don't know what that means but it's different so something must be happening. There was also no more ETA so U.P. must consider it arrived.

I actually just got home from the Rolla yard myself! It was on my way home from court and you can see all the cars from the highway so I couldn't resist...

Just an FYI - got another VINView update, just like the last 3. Seems to be stuck sending me the update from Monday once daily...

Not a lot has changed since this morning. My own car is scheduled to arrive tonight, and I reached out to the dealership with the news. My salesperson told me due to a shortage of truck drivers, it'll probably be another week or two before I will actually see the car. ?‍

I contacted the dealer to see if he had any updates and his VINView seems to be much more current than what I've been getting over text. The most recent update shows that it was received by the trucking company at 4:05p yesterday - not sure how long it will take now for them to bring it over. He commented that they seem to get better information from the new system (VINView) and said he has 2 Mach E's coming in from that train.

I'm still out of town until Sunday night so I'm able to be a little more patient If it comes in over the weekend or Monday the timing will be just about right!

For those with your vehicles… if you look in your front passenger wheel well, who is missing a panel just below the glove box and just above the fuse box panel, and who has one?

Because I am definitely missing mine. I asked elsewhere on the forum and someone suggested I ask you all - maybe a cost cutting measure?

Someone else suggests “trims without ambient lighting don‘t have that panel”. There is a light forward of the vents, left side of the photo…

Almost got run over... Err saw a 2nd MME here in Amsterdam tonight! It was also being used as a taxi like the 1st one I saw. Tempted to try to get one as a taxi back to the airport. Haha
