Dumb question…CR1 non b&o system…read this whole thread and found the audio control module behind the touchscreen. Does anyone have a pin out for the 54pin connector that comes out of the ACM? I would like to tee off it to run my 4 channel amp to my new door speakers. I’ve scoured the internets and have found conflicting pinouts. Thanks in advance for any help ??

For the below pictured amp, I see that I could potentially tap the speaker wires and go directly into the "HIGH LEVEL INPUT" using the supplied plug, but I bought a Line Out Converter and intend on using that with the RCA cables into the L/R inputs.

That said, it looks like the high level inputs have the auto on but the RCA doesn't? So if I go this route, then I'll need the REM input in between the power to the sub, or is that remote on signal not necessary? If it is, where do I even tap in for the remote ON signal?

Btw, mounted my volume knob exactly where shown in post #1 and it really is the perfect spot.

Apologies if this has been covered but can anyone comment on how a cargo liner/matt would interact with the OP's subwoofer (below cargo floor). I'm not sure if the lower frequencies get muffled the same way that mid to high frequencies do.

I have cargo liner. Appears to have zero impact.

Even if it does muffle it, it’s capable of waaaaay more bass output than you’d want and can easily overpower the stock speakers.

Thank you for the pinout. Am I correct in saying that I do not see the speaker wires on this pinout? I see audio outputs on 23-26 but only left and right, pos/neg…no front and rear.
Why not just grab the high output wires in the doors sills? (Curious)

I was hoping to find the main speaker harness to pull the input signals from, send to the amp then send the outputs from my 4 channel amp to the door speakers through the factory wiring. ??

Hey George, sorry I didn't know what you were looking for. I just saw you wanted the pinout of the plug for the APIM. You want to use the ACM (Audio Control Module) which is also in the same area as the APIM. Below is a wiring diagram for your 6 speaker ACM and the plug pin out.

Well, I guess I need to order this JL 10” or 12”… The 12” out of my BMW isn’t gonna fit. Lol.

Broski, i know this is super old, but how you have it here fits PERFECTLY. The board comes down and barely rests onto those top corners. Did you replace it or stick with this?

I am about 50% finished with the install and gonna finish up tomorrow morning, in the EXACT position you have pictured here.

Hey @markboris I was just over thanking you on the liftgate switch thread, now I have to hop over here and thank you for this one! Finished installing my JL Audio 10" over the weekend and have been enjoying it thanks to you. I'm definitely noticing that bump and around 60 hz, so last night I ordered the 12". Going to drop that one in and see if I like it better, I'm sure I will. I've done many audio system upgrades over the years. My friends came to me with their new head units speakers, subwoofers etc. My last car before this one was a 2011 edge, and I just kept the stock system although I was never happy with it. This was my first job like this in about 10 years and I really enjoyed it. Your post in the discussion gave me the confidence to give it a go. You rock!

Happy it all worked out well for you. We have such little room in that rear area that it's difficult to have a high quality sub in there. The 10" TW1 JL is a huge improvement over the OEM sub if you can call it a sub. The 12" TW1 is icing on the cake. However, I higher quality sub like the 12" TW3 I have in the ICE Mustang would be a nice improvement. It has a much smoother response and goes much deeper. I'm not cutting down either the 10" or 12" TW1 JL subs but the TW3's are a big step up. Neither of those two are like their W7's I use for my home theater but then I don't want a box sitting in my cargo area.

Photos of these drivers in case some have not seen their design.

10"/12" TW1 in the PowerWedge+ enclosure that fits in the lower cargo area I am using.

The W7 home theater setup has to be insane!

Unfortunately those subs start at $5000 each. They better move some air at that price.

I’m happy with my SVS PB2000 pro, but it’s not gonna compare with that W7.
