My guess is that the lady got hers because of the GT heritage she has on order so they already know who they are and they obviously are a long time family supporter of ford/dealership she got car from. So I would say the dealer or Ford probably pushed that order thru so it will be one of the first one delivered. Or she could have emailed Ford Bosses mentioned that she has a GT Heritage on Order to be delivered in 2 or 3 months and she would like to have her MAch-E before it arrives.

Remember to get the GT cars Ford has to pick you to get them you can not just put a reservation on them at least I do not think you can. From what I have seen and heard you have to apply to get into a pool of other people and Ford has to pick you as one of the lucky winners that can order the GTs. Plus have to put like half the cost down as the deposit or something like that.

Maybe we should have bought from them.
It looks like these deliveries are all for customers who are loyal Mustang customers. No coincidence that the first Rt1 was to a Mustang loyalist as well as this red one. Distance from plant and saying loyal Mustang owners are buying the Mustang MME is sort of a message implying its a sports EV - something different than normal BEV. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise Ford had a lot of customers /dealers/regions to pick.

It's quite possible! But I have to believe Ford also had some stake in these deliveries. Weren't they determined to meet their 2020 delivery targets, even if by just 3 vehicles? Or was that just a happy consequence of one dealership's actions?
Not sure. From Ford's perspective, they shipped about 1500 units in 2020. That is what their balance sheet says. But yeah, maybe the PR was important enough for them to get involved. I bet the inventory manager at that dealership knows. All it would take is a phone call I bet......the dealers all love to tell their customers how special they are compared to other dealers. :)

same dealer sam pack but different dealership. this one is Five Star Ford of Carrollton
others were Five Star Ford Dallas

red apples/ green apples :)
They probably call themselves Five Star Auto Group if I had to venture a guess. That even adds some credibility to the theory they made special shipping arrangements in my book...

Perhaps the dealer just asked their Ford rep “would you like us to give you some B-roll of our GT Heritage buyer picking up her new car in her Chevy bolt? Or perhaps it might look better if she was pulling up in her new Mustang Mach E to pick up her Heritage GT? What do you think Mr. Ford rep?” 😀😀😀

I’ll bet some quick calls to Dearborn were made and her car magically appeared at the front of the line. It’s not like there are infinite combinations of cars 😉

It’s a Marketing play. We know that one of Ford’s big concerns is legacy Mustang owners skeptical of accepting the MME under the “Mustang” brand. What better optics can you get than having someone who owns collector Mustangs show excitement to get her new MME?

According to this, they actually delivered just "3" Mach-E vehicles in 2020. I guess the 1500 includes FCTP vehicle and prototypes.

I smell something fishy. I suspect these were the dealer demos that the dealer just sold way above MSRP. Between the reference of the heritage GT, ($500K plus) and their other Shelby's they were throwing down some big Texas money. It's good when you can do it.
Nope, they were all customer orders. The blue one the original customer backed out on. The dealer tried offering it to me to buy it, but I'd rather wait 1 more week for my Premium ER to come in.

Also these were shipped by Ford to Dallas dealerships, and it was not Five Star that arranged the shipment as some other Dallas dealerships received cars too. There were supposed to be 3 total to Five Star Ford of Dallas (not including the Carrollton one), but they ran into border issues so were only able to do a few.

It helps that Dallas Fort Worth is where BNSF railroad is headquartered 😉

It's confusing because "sales" are what customers take home, "wholesales" are what Ford actually sells and books revenue on.

3 delivered to customers, on the "sales" report for the 4th quarter.

1,500ish shipped from the plant (sold to the dealer), will show on the "wholesales" report - revenue already booked. That's why they mentioned the balance sheet and the 1,500.

Looks like Sam Pack has another...
Can you locate the VIN for that car?
I cant remember. Does Texas require front license plates?
