Don't understand the 'need' to make the 'correct' decision. I have made a lot of mistakes. For a long time I was nursing along a Ford Contour SVT. What a mistake. Anyone remember that one. Loved the drive/handling but what a poorly designed machine.
A little respect for the Contour, fellas! I just traded in my 23-year old Contour for a Rapid Red Mach-E ;)

... obviously using the "traded in" term rather loosely

I would disagree with you about the computer. It is all about the computer. There are very few reported body problems. Most of the issues here revolve around software which is not a strong suit for traditional car companies. EVs are all about the software. Ford is going to have to up their software efforts if they want to stay competitive. I think they are committed to improving the software and they have made some changes that show they are listening, like including release notes with new versions. Being an early adopter is always more challenging and I knew it when I bought it that the first year would be rocky but I do love the car and trust they will get the software stabilized in the near future. Keep the faith!
Cars have been running on software for decades. More accurately firmware in most cases. User interface is where most of the complaints arise. Which one is best is generally more a matter of opinion than objective fact. Ultimately consumers pick the one that works for them. Or they are blindly brand loyal and justify/complain from there. ?

Yeah, I've stuck with Ford for many vehicles, not because they make good software, but because I've gotten used to how their software works and the quirks that it has.

If the issues you are reading about are ā€œhugeā€ to you, you might be best served by waiting for the 2023 model year. Iā€™m not making light of your concern, rather Iā€™m suggesting that peace of mind has value and if the risk of issues is going to mess with that, don't let a nameplate troll you into a potentially nerve-wracking situation. Give them a year or two to get their ducks in a row.

I just wanted to post in here after all this discussion to say this

Ford is definitely listening to the feedback on these forums, and they are working on fixing these issues. I was just on a call with several Ford Corporate employees and they referenced my posts on here specifically without me even saying I was a member on here. This is why I post on here. The discussion is great, but just having the issues in one place where other people can see it and maybe know they aren't the only one, but also its a place Ford themselves can look and see what people are having issues with.

I know the lack of communication from Ford on if they are even working on things can be frustrating. But there is definitely a lot of work happening in the background.
Good for Ford; good for you. I bet they get it solved pretty quickly now.

Way better than having to @ a moron on Twitter. Haha.

Stopped at the station. I typically do half the time stopping it from the button on the car, and on the station. Yesterday happened to be at the station.
Can someone tell me what the proper procedure is? Should I stop charging on the app? At the station? Hit the unlock button next to the charger? What is the best procedure?

If you stop on the charger sometimes you get the error message from the car; pressing the unlock button inside the LED ring on the car doesn't give the errors. So, it feels better to hit the button in the LED ring

...or the time the car drove fine to our destination and then would not start with ford pass to come home. thank goodness I had set up a password to start the car! Now I never leave home without the fob in my pocket. The Fob that is twice as big as any other car key fob that I've ever had.

The car itself doesnā€™t stop working so thatā€™s a bit misleading.

I checked that. Pulled off into a parking lot. Shut the car off, checked all sensors and cameras, and restarted and still had the issue.

Also, as I posted above, Normal cruise control gave the same error. And it gave a different error that I forgot to take a pic of when switching between cruise modes.
Interesting. It has happened to me, but when I stopped and restarted, it went away. Odd.
Thanks for posting.

I agree. I figure it can't hurt, and it's easy.
