A little late to the party but this TSB applies to this issue and seems to fix it with the PCM and ABS module update among other things. I had this issue almost once a week and it has now been resolved. https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-wrench-indicator-abs-lamp-on-with-dtcs.6699/
Hmm. Not quite my scenario, but definitely could be related. One Pedal stopped working after a DCFC. But, I will reference that with the rep, If I'm ever able to get a hold of him again.

there are a few types of people on car forums:
1) those that are fully engaged
2) those who have a problem and try to crowd surf a fix
3) those with a problem and they can’t believe they drew the short straw of statistical variation and god damn it people must be fired

Definite problems are identified here, but it is impossible on a site like this to accurately say whether this is a reliable car or not. Such a judgement is statistical, not anecdotal.
I will be interested to see how it fares in Consumer Reports surveys. Ford in general is below average, but all brands have steadily improved.
CR regularly recommends against buying cars in first year of production or first year after a major update.
I knew all that and bought my Mach e with my eyes open.

same thing happened to me. In fact there are many bugs that if they happen while you are driving, the only way to get a reset is to park the car, move away, get back in and start back up, the equivalent of an old fashioned hard reboot. too bad that there isn't a more gentle way to get the functions back. This computer system is a little off... and much worse lately for me.

Ford is definitely listening to the feedback on these forums, and they are working on fixing these issues. I was just on a call with several Ford Corporate employees and they referenced my posts on here specifically without me even saying I was a member on here. This is why I post on here. The discussion is great, but just having the issues in one place where other people can see it and maybe know they aren't the only one, but also its a place Ford themselves can look and see what people are having issues with.

I know the lack of communication from Ford on if they are even working on things can be frustrating. But there is definitely a lot of work happening in the background.

Fun thread, hope OP get's resolution and like most I've had only PAAK issues, oh and the cover keeps falling down:)

This is my 2nd Car & Driver awarded car, my other is my 2014 Ram 1500, which won best truck in 2014. The forum for that truck is also a lot or issues and problems for sure and I wasn't immune to them. In fact my 2014 was also my first factory order truck and RAM somehow forgot to put the correct interior trim level in it. Yes I ordered a Big Horn and got a Tradesman interior which had several obvious misses besides the wrong cloth, this included power seats, 120V outlet in dash and no fold down arm rest in the backseat. It took me over a month with RAM on this and in the end I got a Katzkin leather interior and $0 deductible lifetime unlimited mileage warranty on the truck. It was an unbelievable ordeal and most people might not have even noticed the interior was wrong. My truck now has 112k miles and other then a few minor issues has been trouble free.

At the end of the day nobody needs a new car, especially one this expensive, so if reading issues and concerns stresses you out probably should buy a Toyota Camry. I'm not too worried, of course I have my truck still so my MME is not my only car, but if this turns out bad I'll just trade it in and move on to happier life and not worry too much.

I would disagree with you about the computer. It is all about the computer. There are very few reported body problems. Most of the issues here revolve around software which is not a strong suit for traditional car companies. EVs are all about the software. Ford is going to have to up their software efforts if they want to stay competitive. I think they are committed to improving the software and they have made some changes that show they are listening, like including release notes with new versions. Being an early adopter is always more challenging and I knew it when I bought it that the first year would be rocky but I do love the car and trust they will get the software stabilized in the near future. Keep the faith!
