I’ve had no issues for the 13 months since delivery of my car (knock on wood). Then suddenly, the audio stopped working in my First Edition yesterday. I’ve attempted to fix by resetting/restarting Sync system, but still volume controls no longer reveal volume indicator in display. CarPlay connects, FM radio displays, etc. just no sound. In the settings, Audio is not able to be accessed.
I’ve tried resetting system, changing profiles, etc. Any other suggestions or ideas what could have caused this? and how to fix?

Hello there. Could you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer? I would like to look into your Mach E's audio concerns on my end.

Took to a dealer today 4/1 for service and the DSP module needs to be replaced. It’s on order. When they install, they will also do the software update to add BlueCruise which I was told will take 10-11 hours to complete.

I often lose audio (Audio Off) it just pops up randomly. Not pressing buttons, steering wheel controls, talking/singing etc. It'll just stop and flash up Audio Off 'error'. Other times it will just go silent without the Audio Off message. I'll hit the volume up and the bar will increase but no sound comes out. Usually I can just hit the center of the SYNC dial to turn it back on. When the volume just shuts off, I need to reset the SYNC screen.

I capture them when I can, it's been pretty much since I got it, July 31, 2021

Ford Mustang Mach-E Audio Not Working AudioOff

And this isn't even the constant SYNC garbled screen errors I still get.

SimiIar thing: I had an issue a few weeks ago where one speaker was not playing. I also noticed that my software had not updated. I took it in for service and while working on the car the instrument cluster died - yikes! They had to send it somewhere to be fixed, it came back Wednesday & went to install it yesterday and ANOTHER part died. I am waiting for an update but have no faith I will get one at this hour. OMG So 3 weeks later and no car. Not happy! However, I am glad it was in the shop when these things went wrong - I would not have wanted to be stranded somewhere. Good luck!

Had exactly the same issue today on my ME Premium of 12 months. Took it in for software upgrade this week. Worked on the way home but stopped this morning.

Also think the auto feature for Climate system stopped working, but turning on Fan with AC worked fine.

Hello, Mark! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this concern. Thanks!

This just happened with my First Edition yesterday. I've had issue with the audio going completely out and the only way I could get it back was to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and then plug it back in. Unfortunately this isn't working anymore so I'm driving around in silence. :(

Frankly, it sucks. My FE is still without sound and I haven’t driven it for two weeks for that reason.

When I originally posted, I had a direct reach out from Ford. I thought “amazing”, but then my hope faded. A series unscheduled calls with no way to call back or schedule time and countless emails that get no where. Frustrating to say the least. I’m working with a service department at dealer in Tampa, but having the attention and support from Ford directly to help resolve would have been appreciated.

Have you tried the battery disconnect “fix”? That did work for me twice before the current time. You have to pop out two of the plastic covers under the hood to access it but then it’s easy. The battery has two little connections sort of like removing ink cartridges out of a printer. It’s right by the windshield wiper fluid repository. Anyway, it may help you at least get audio for a little bit. This is a terrible problem and really takes away from the excitement of the car. I was able to find the “patch” that’s supposed to fix it (SSM49737) but it has been a pain trying to get it done. I finally have an appt next Wednesday to hopefully get that and a driver’s side door not unlocking issue fixed…

I did not try the battery trick. I took to a dealer on 4/1 for service and they stated the DSP module needs to be replaced. It was not available, so they have an order out for one. I don’t have an ETA on the part arrival. When they install, they will also do software updates over a period of a day or two, which will hopefully add BlueCruise. Again, just not sure how far off that is.

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed the car over the last 14 months and feel it was worth the long wait. I’m just frustrated and a little impatient about this latest situation.

I have this issue since the first day I took my new MME: Emergency call system failure message on the ITC, no response to Voice interaction, microphone not working answering phone calls, but the sound from the speakers is fine (music, navigation, incoming calls, etc.).
The car is at the dealer for the third time. The first time they replaced the microphone and the cable to the Emergency call button. Now they replaced the related module under the trunk panel but the problem is that the module software update ends with an update failure. I think they don't even know what's the cause and my car is still there. Anybody had a similar issue?

I had this happen about a year ago. Not sure exactly what happened but I was on a phone call using the car audio while at an EA charger and suddenly the call dropped. I didn’t realize until later that all of the audio had quit. I found this post from another forum member and it fixed the problem. Hasn’t returned. The hardest part of the procedure is not losing the clips when removing the plastic panels.
