This is a fun thing to do to the car. I did a poor man's version - installed a subwoofer in the frunk in parallel with the pedestrian speaker. And then I ran wires to the cabin so I could power the speakers and play sound from my phone. It didn't sound even a fraction as good as the Borla!

I removed it because my wife hated it, and I was just playing around anyway.

Does the app allow selecting which existing sound is played or allow replacing the existing sound with something new? Noises like the thundering hooves of hundreds of actual horses, the scream of a jet/star fighter, some favorite music (William Tell's Overture or favorite rock rift), or, because there are men involved, rude noises, obscene language or sexual sounds?
Yes, the extremes will happen. There is someone in every crowd intent on showing off and not understanding they are ruining things for everyone else. or maybe that is part of the fun.

Haha, I kinda unironically want this now, just want to see the reaction of all the ICE Mustangs that pull up next to me and rev their engines. You can put it in park and just press the Go pedal and it will make the sounds?

It has External Speakers. They are mounted underneath the back of the car.

The App does not come out till early next year. All I know is that it will allow me to change the sounds according to there Marketing guy...

No real interest in this; other than the guy that wants the "beeping" noise replaced when backing up. I'd be interested in some other sound. I wonder if Ford would ever consider an OTA? Maybe a "nasty V8 idling" sound when in reverse. Now that I'd be interested in. As for the Borla, have fun; I like the "Silent Assassin" role.

That's sorta Borla's thing; except you used to get a couple extra HP along with it.

I thought that I wanted this for potentially cooler EV sounds and a better backup sound but I've very happy with just disabling all of the fake noise speakers altogether via a $50 bypass kit

Mine is in the garage and just have to find time to install. The missing sound is the only thing I don’t like about my EVs. I respect others that like silence but this is best of both worlds as easily can turn off. My supercharged LS3 with headers not so much lol.

If this kit pumped sound into the cabin, rather than outside the cabin, I could more easily get behind it.
