Try this:
  1. Close all app on the phone, on iPhone 12 swipe up all open apps;
  2. Power down the iPhone & power up again;
  3. Log off the Ford app & log on again;
  4. In Ford app, after you charge at home, under Vehicle, under manage EV, under Charge Times, your home locality should show up, re-labelled so it is easily identified;
  5. Click use Preferred Charge settings, follow the prompts;
  6. Make sure you SAVE IT ... for me this step was hardest because Ford app was retarded most of times, but eventually I got.
I hope this helps.

When the above fails

7. Replace the sobdmc module.

Screen cap this morning. It finished around 10 last night. Still tethered. ? Initial signs is it is working.

Thanks go out to the Ford team!

I continue to have customer service issues with Ford. I have not heard back from the person who owns my case number since july 9. I took it in for it's second attempt to get the charging to work which my person arranged. No improvement. I was told a Ford engineer was going to look at my car. I found out later from a random Ford customer service person (as you cannot leave a message with mine) that the paperwork for that to have happened had never been done! Now I need to wait until I have a day off that I can bring my car in (Again!). I will definitely bring up your solution. Very tired of all this.

Deal with your service guys. You know what fixed it for me so get on them again and email them a link to this thread. Tell them you are not the first/only one to have this problem. If it does not work at your dealers also then it just does not work. It is hard being green and the only one but when it comes to electronics we are the QC beta testers and defective components happen. As soon as the module was changed it has charged like a dream and it has been LG. It is a pita problem to have I know been there.

So I have a slightly different problem - my car knows it's at home and that it shouldn't charge past 80pct at home, which it follows. However it will just charge whenever it's plugged in. Regardless if that time is within the time window set for home. I also get messages (but only on occasion) in my Ford pass app saying my vehicle will charge outside of my preferred times bc of a departure time. However I don't have a departure time set as I work from home so just set ad hoc times and delete them after I use it . I set the charge times in the car itself and the times still get ignored.

Anyone else encountering this ?

I have a similar issue, my home schedule to charge to 70% seems to be honored without issues. However, at work, my limit is set to 90%, which worked for a few days but then it just started charging to 100%. I don’t mind that much because I constantly check my FordPass app and just stop charging when I notice it getting close but still a nuisance.

Another problem is updates. Marlin forgot he was only supposed to charge to 80% when they did the 21P22 update.

My charging schedule was completely reset and I had to start setting the locations up again. Held and worked last night as soon as I set the schedule again. Renamed it this morning thru FP and appears it toke. Profile/Carplay worked as soon as I started it up but no charging locations. That is all I have noted so far. Same update. Could also have been when they disconnected my 12V?

So it charges to the set percentage but chargers anytime (as soon as you plug it in) and not to what you have set it to. Sounds like use my schedule is set on as I think the default is 100%

It has a weekday and weekend setting.
It has 2 intervals you can set and both can be trashed.
You can add multiple locations.

Maybe some pics of your car screen with your charging set up windows may shed some light?

I have my home location setup like this. Charge from 1-4am and max charge to 80pct. See below:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Car ignores charging schedule! PXL_20211218_151028881

However in the Fordpass app I can't see any of the charge times I have set up for home location (I'm a pixel pro 6 Android user):

Ford Mustang Mach-E Car ignores charging schedule! Screenshot_20211218-101444

And yesterday I got this message. I have no departure times setup in my car:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Car ignores charging schedule! PXL_20211218_024553425

So my car recognizes it's home and will charge to the 80pct limit. However if I plug it in it will charge immediately - it won't wait for the charging window.

If it estimates that your charge window isn't long enough to reach the target, it will start when you plug in. Not sure if that's the issue there, but it could be.

Maybe try extending your schedule out to noon or something (well beyond the likely finish).

the car will override your schedule and begin charging right away if it determines that it can’t get to your set charge level within your set window.

Note from user manual: Reaching your max charge level by your next departure timeis always the priority. When charge times are set, charging outside your preferred charging time windows could be necessary in order to finish by your next departure time. In this case, the vehicle will typically begin charging right away after plugging in.

@RedDragon, the problem is you're thinking logically. You figure you are at 78% state of charge, and want to go to 80%, and that you have 3 hours to do so (1 - 4AM). Unfortunately, as demonstrated by the car showing you that it wants to charge starting at 9:45PM Friday, and won't finish until 4:47AM on Saturday, it's clearly not seeing that you only have 2% to go.

Why? Don't know, but it's pretty clear that's the issue.
