I just got my car a week ago and previously(December) had a Charge Point Home Flex EVSE installed. It is charging fine but I cannot see anywhere in the app where I can change the charging amperage. Am I missing something? I re-configured the wifi

When you say change charging amp you mean for get max kWh charge

Your kWh charge is regulated by your breaker amp did you use 6-50 or 14-50 plug in? If you did then 50 amp breaker is as big as you go now if it’s hardwired in with no plug in then you can go I think to 80 amp breaker but that won’t do any good cause Mach e is restrict to about 11 kWh which about equal to 60 amp breaker

MAX or Min, depending upon conditions. I am hardwired so I can charge at a MAX of 48 amps, but would prefer something slower at this time since it is so hot. I see nothing in the car that tells me the charging amperage.. You are supposed to be able to adjust the amperage in the app.

The CPHF doesn't have a dynamic amp setting that you can change on demand. What you have to do is run the set up routine again and pick a different circuit rating and that then sets the amperage.

When you say run the setup again, what are you referring to? How? I don’t see any choice for that in the app.
thanks

What's the temp of the charging location? Is it going to be worse there than an open lot sited EA or similar DCFC?

Not sure you have too much to worry about.

Should I reboot the charger to reset?

Not too worried, but I would like to know how to change it. The temp is currently 97 in Nashville, maybe 10-15 degrees cooler in the garage where the EVSE and car are.

You might have to remove it from your account and re-add to change the amperage. I’d set it to 32A if you’re worried about heat.

Does a hardwired(60 amp breaker) ChargePoint HomeFlex EVSE just automatically default to charge at the highest amperage (48) for the Mach E?

Sorry for all the questions, but how do I know at what rate it is currently charging?

I don't think so.
To get to the screen to select amps, reconfigure your wifi or reboot and reconfigure. I think either choice works. You have to be in Bluetooth range I think....

They removed it from their app about a month or so ago. They apparently have been having problems with people changing it too often and causing issues.

Until it comes back to the app, if you want to adjust it, you have to call their 24/7 customer support line, and they will do it for you - (888) 758-4389
