Have you ever eliminated FordPass from the equation? It seems like you have but if not I would give that a try just to eliminate it from the equation. It certainly seems like an in-car issue and not a FordPass issue.
I did, it was the first thing I tried. I deleted the charged settings and saved location and shut off fordpass in my phone (and put in airplane mode just to be sure). Then I charged again, went into sync 4 and saved location, set up charging schedule, and same result, the ford service people did the same as well using the shop charging station, and they also got the same result.

There are several reasons to enable it:

1) It keeps track of ALL charging events. I can tell you exactly how much electricity I've used, per charging session, back to the installation date 2 years ago.

2) You can alter the charge rate up or down (up to the limits of the wiring / breaker).

3) You can set it to the hours of low electricity costs, and then no matter what the vehicle wants to do, it won't get charged (or pull power to precondition), unless YOU take a simple step and enable it (takes seconds).

4) You can set it to tell you that the vehicle isn't plugged in and charging. For example, if your low rate begins at 7PM, you can tell it to notify you at 7:15 if it's not plugged in.
Yeah I know, but I charge maybe once a week. I actually used the ford portable evse for eighteen months before I got the juicebox with my first mach e. As to charging hours, looked into it, here in GA the charging window special ev rate - just wasn't worth changing over so I stick with the flat rate I've had all along.

I do understand the potential benefits, but hasn't been something I needed or wanted but will probably try now just to see if I can get it to stop charging like the car is supposed to do.

Mine was guided by the FSE on the case to do a PMI on the SOBDM. That was done yesterday and there were no changes to the symptoms at all. The work continues.

is this something you can do yourself or did the service dept have to do it? I’m really tired of having to make sure I unplug the car before I go to bed.

I may not have been clear, sorry.
My dealer did the PMI on the SOBDM.

After it was done, it did not eliminate any symptoms I was having. The exact same issues remain.

I just talked with my FSE in person.

He said there is an OTA coming November 3 that is supposed to correct the issue. It could take up to a week to push to my car he says.

Wow, good thing I stumbled on this. If I ever got a newer car and it acted this way I'd assume it's messed up, not a feature.

I wouldn't hold it to being the actual week of 11/3, but yes it should be soon thereafter
No worries there, it'll be nice to have it sorted!!

Uh this will be amazing!
Right now I’m sitting in the garage trying to figure out a way to get the car to stop charging while still plugged in and it has reached its charge level. I’ve tried letting it go to 90% and then changing the app to say, charge to 85% and it’s still not fixing the issue, tried unplugging, and then plugging back in, no go. I would really love to be able to use the departure settings now that winter is coming in Colorado.

Have you tried the "stop charging" button on the fordpass app? That seems to work sometimes for me. Otherwise I just unplugged and left it unplugged until the next time charging, it's not ideal but until it's sorted, not much choice. I've never pre-conditioned but in your climate it's really a good thing for you to be able to do.

Yea I tried the stop charging button. It does stop, but then starts again within a few minutes.

Mine does this exact same, hopefully that fix will correct it, I know the car can do it because when you plugin with a timed charge to start at 11pm it puts the EVSE back into the proper state then.

yep I experienced similar, it seems to be a random thing, sometimes it stops and stays stopped.
