So I got this email today from Ford, wondering if it's related to the charging issue. I did run the vin on the link they provided and nothing showed up. I'm going to touch bases with the dealer in a couple days when I have the chance.

I got the same email. When I go to the link it says I have no recalls, but there are two "customer satisfaction programs"
1 is "reprogram hvac control module"
2 is "charge cord stuck reprogram battery charge control module"

Is that the recall software for the stuck plug that’s delayed. I have a 21 that’s stuck on 6.1

I’m told the details of what will all be included in the OTA update are not yet finalized. All I know is it’s supposed to correct this charging issue, not sure what else….

I do have a bit of an update here. Previously, I posted that the Ford BEV team told me to try using the Ford EVSE instead of the Grizzl-e. After about a month the dealer finally got a Ford charger in for me. I wanted it just to keep in the car for emergencies. Tried charging the car with that and same issue. The car never tells the EVSE to stop providing power. If I unplug it, it still does the same thing where it drops immediately by one percent. If I plug it back in it will go to the charge percentage and tell me the car is finished charging, but it appears to still be pulling power. I knew this wouldn’t resolve the issue. It’s software.

Yep they asked me the same thing. The dealer tried it on their level two charger with the same results, ie the onboard charger never stops running even when threshold percent reached.

so I figured out a trick here to make this work. It takes a couple of steps. But the grizzl-e finally stopped flashing, indicating it is not providing power, and the car is no longer humming. It takes a couple of steps.

Step 1: let the car charge to the desired percentage. Mine is set for 90%.

Step 2: In the FordPass app once it has reached the desired percentage, and it says charging complete hit the button to charge to 100%. I let mine charge to 91%. Then I unplugged it which resulted in it immediately dropping down by one percent which is what it always does. But now it dropped to 90%.

Step 3: go to the FordPass app and change the desired charge percent down by 5%. So I changed mine down to 85% desired charge.

Step 4: plug the car back in. I do this because it’s cold and I’m in Colorado and I want the battery and the cabin to precondition in the morning.

The result has now produced the desired behavior of what should be happening without me, having to take all these steps. The car is no longer humming, the EVSE on the wall is no longer flashing, and the FordPass app just has dashes for the charge rate. I’m no longer seeing, the kilowatt hours consumed going up infinitely. I hope Ford fixes this soon because it’s going to getting real annoying having to do this every single night.

Edit: 10 minutes later the EVSE is flashing again, and the car is humming like it’s charging. At least the app does not have the energy added line infinitely going up though.

So, just to be clear, when your car reaches the desired level,, even pressing "stop charging" in fordpass, won't stop the charge hum and turn out blue light at the charge port? I'm lucky that "stop charging" works on mine, the whole, thing is really annoying tho.
