It was marketed as a mass market alternative to the Tesla Model 3. It was also sold in Europe as the Ampera-e. It could be competitive today if not for the decisions by GM. We'll see how it goes.

Anyone thinking the Ford website is bad . . . try and find out all the features and options of the Bolt EUV on the Chevy site. They just have blurbs mentioning some of the key features, and if you go to build and price, you basically get to pick interior and exterior colors on their First Edition and that's about it.

I would say they did what Nissan did. Concentrate on the next generation platform and only sustain the older one with a mild refresh. There is a possibility they could drive down the cost of these models over time, especially if they are looking for fleet sales in the future.

In that case don't they need to acoustic laminate all 6 windows? Otherwise what's the point.
for the passengers in the rear seats, yes, but understand that having your ear pretty close to a piece of glass means the impact is amplified. The rear door glass is much further comparatively from the driver and first passenger than the fronts, and statistically the rear seats will be occupied less often than the drivers seat especially. For the rear glass then its a matter of diminishing returns.

Its also not a matter of just sound transmission from outside the car, but how much the glass resonates at certain frequencies. That layer of laminate in the middle of the glass will likely do wonders o cut down on the resonance in the glass.
