Exactly. And when Toyota Corolla buyers get that “warm fuzzy feeling” when CR tells them their car is great……. They’re more likely to subscribe to CR.^^ This is the CR problem... it is a confirmation bias cycle. Do you really think that buyers of a Toyota corolla and the buyers of a Nissan GT-R think the same way about their cars or report the same kinds of things... don't think so.
It doesn't mean that everything they do is nonsense, but it's more directional than science. sorry.
And you end up with a lot of happy Corolla owners getting surveyed each year to tell each other how happy they are with their Corollas.
Again, I’ll ask CR when I buy a toaster……. Not when I buy a car.
People who tend to like CR for car purchases seem to also look at cars like an appliance to get them safely from point A to B.
Thats’s fine, I’m just not one of those people.
