What exactly do you mean by that? The filter is behind the glove box still. I actually replaced mine with an aftermarket filter. So I don't have the stock one.
I'm really just spitballing but it seems like the newest builds have this problem and others don't and trying to think about any differences in the build. Obviously our front motors are different so there's any number of differences in changes related to that, but your comment of the glove box here made me remember another change in that we got a different cabin filter. Perhaps something with that design prone to flapping filter around vs the old one?

But of course I don't really know if we got this new filter yet...and you having an aftermarket one shoots a hole in that thought....so probably nothing.

Did we? I replaced mine with pure flow and it fit fine and it was listed for all MMEs. My build date was late July.

Ah yes I see your edit. I remember seeing that being released. Do you have that in yours? I didn't think it was until 2022.

It's the same size, just a different filter in terms of how much filtration it can do. It actually looks like it has tighter pleats in the picture from what I just saw with mine so I don't think we have the new design yet.

So...disregard lol
I'd really like to know if it gets louder for you with the GB open like @btcook and I have both experienced.

Will give it a try...it's not been windy around here lately which is why I only noticed it again today but I'll report back when it happens again and I can test

Noise is not gone...and not changed at all based on my foam applications. Seems the rattle is entirely separate. I honestly cannot tell if it's coming from the bay area or the roof.

Definitely annoying and only reproducible with the wind blowing just the right way and with speed above 60 mph.
Hello Greg! Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and mileage so I can look into the rattle noise you are experiencing?

I have faith too - the only thing that worries me is that my rattle has no relation to the wind and now it occurs at speeds north of 35 MPH, where it was only at 60 MPH+

Do you have a recording of it? Or have you listened to the ones in this thread? Is it the same noise? I'm 1000% certain mine is related to cross wind. It should be noted that an opposing semi truck can create enough wind at times to trigger it.

Same here...I had 2 trips 65 miles each this weekend with 4 total legs. The noise only hit 1 of those 4 legs based on the direction and strength of the wind.

I don't but can make one in the near future. I think it sounds like the ones that people have posted, but I can't hear much when listening to be honest to these recordings

That would be great! Basically if I had to describe the sounds it's like plastic flapping against metal. It's not "clangly" like metal on metal and it's not "dud like" as if it was plastic on plastic. It's also a rattle noise, imagine something flapping in the wind and repeatedly striking the surface.

Lastly, for me at least it happens with cross winds as low as 7-8 mph and it's muted at those speeds and gets louder with winds about 10 mph and above.

Quick update, my rattle has not returned since removing that random sticker on the front springs. I know it seems pretty unlikely but it seems to have resolved my issue. I did also change height of the pads under the hood pictured here.

I really doubt that made a difference either but I have no other explanation for why it has went away unless lifting the front of the car slightly did something unintentionally. Still keeping a close eye on this thread in case the rattle returns.

@bdot I think someone else mentioned this regarding the frunk bumpers. Apologies if it was you or Scooby. I just remember seeing this somewhere and figured I would give it a try and I haven't yet.

It was me....it was fairly clear that my bumpers were not supporting the hood but I haven't had a chance to test since I adjusted them. I'll try removing the stickers next in case the bumpers didn't help.
