Ford Social Media team is great and gave me a case number but I'm not ready yet to bring it to the dealer. I'd prefer my stuff not be poked and prodded by anyone but me. :)

Who wants to try this fix?

If it's coming from the windshield this noise sure knows how to throw it's sound around or I've been to a few too many concerts... We have a corporate account with Grainger i could easily try it.

I’m hearing a rattle now too at around 40 mph.

Sounds like it’s coming from the charger port door area. Haven’t tried messing with it yet though.
Yeah that's about where it sounds like it's coming from when it's on the drivers side and the opposite corner when the wind is on the passenger side.

That's the problem...I can't seem to tell where. I turned my head sideways to have an ear towards the dash and and ear towards the roof and it seems to be coming from both. My thought is maybe if there's a vibration it's reverberating through the whole frame in that area that makes pinpointing it hard to tell. There is some play with the plastic trim pieces on either side of the roof and I've heard it, like you, from both sides.

K, ordered the 1/4" foam on Amazon, will be here sunday. Will wedge it in and see if that helps. My car is going to be all foamed up.

I think there's enough supporting evidence in that thread and based on Ford's acknowledgement of this issue to say this just isn't the same thing. It appears from everyone who's chimed in that it's just a GT issue for whatever reason. Below is the comment from the OP of the other thread on the specific location that he heard the noise from.

I was so happy with the results from the front, I didn’t feel compelled to continue it (most of my noise presented itself in the front/center of the roof).
Additionally, Ford knew that this specific area was prone to wind noise and issued a TSB at the beginning of the year. Our cars were built like 5-6 months later. It would be crazy if they repeated this same problem.

Regardless of all that, I've ordered a couple sizes of foam, which I'll pick up tomorrow. I'll be the guinea pig here.

EDIT: Since we both posted at the same time Scooby, I guess we'll both be guinea pigs.

I have a Premium AWD Extended and I have the same sound, I think its more of a creaking and is exactly the same as the video posted here. Mine is a May build, I think.

If it helps, I did NOT have it at all when I bought the car. I noticed the IPC buzzing and was going to make a stink and turn the car back in, blah, blah and Ford agreed to rectify my buzzing... or try to... They assured me it was now fixed on the production line, via a new IPC that doesn't buzz, so they agreed to replace mine. Shocker, the IPC still buzzes lol.

After they replaced my IPC, creaking galore. Not sure what of the dash they have to remove to replace the IPC, but it was definitely something related to that. Obviously the GTs all have this new IPC, so maybe it is somehow related?

Side note: Is there a footwell cover on the drivers side? Above the pedals? There is a passenger footwell cover, but the drivers side is just open to all the cables and stuff above the pedals, I thought I had a cover before I took it in for the IPC replacement.

I'm not saying that you don't have the same issue, but the last thing I would describe it as is a creaking noise. It sounds like if you put rocks in a tin can and shook it. I would describe it much more like a flapping noise.

As to your side note. See the attached.

Well, it sounds exactly like the video posted on page 2 or 3 here. Attached is my video recording of my rattle, creak whatever. Sounds the same, no?

Thanks for the photo, guess there is no cover!

Yeah it does sound the same. So we'll just chalk that up as difference of opinions then ;)

I'm sure we probably have different taste in music too, but that's what makes this world go around!

At least we're able to confirm, I guess, that it is not isolated to GTs then! Hopefully you guys find a fix, its driving me nuts! I'm supposed to do another dealer appointment for software updates that they say will fix the buzzing on the IPC, they also scratched my carbon fiber dash but are being not nice on agreeing to replace it... I'm hoping replacing the dash will maybe solve my problem? With my luck, it'll probably create more...

Uhhh what? You have carbon fiber? Or is it just a cheap sticker on plastic like the rest of us?
Oh, I guess that's what it is then? It just looks like carbon fiber, but whatever that is, yeah they left 2 scratches in it :/ maybe that means it is easier to repair?

I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that my old cars al buzzed and rattled like crazy.

v8 exhaust covered it all up.

The real problem is that the car is too quiet so any noise at all is obvious.

That said, I still wouldn’t mind solving it if it’s fixable.

Not really true anymore. My wife's Volkswagen Atlas is rattle/creak free, as was our Jeep Cherokee and Mercedes (I get this ones a luxury car, but similar price to the Mach-e).

In today's day, you definitely don't expect rattles and creaks like this.

So I was in a fender bender and just got my car back yesterday. They replaced the front bumper, the louvres that open and close for air, passenger headlight and passenger fender. Obviously all the stuff within, like blind spot monitor, etc.

The rattle was gone. I only drove about 25 minutes, but nothing. I do hear it 100% of the time on my way to work, so we will know for sure Monday, but that would at least solidify it is something in the front end and not frunk related since they didn’t do anything there.

Question, if anyone can check, is there some slight bumper flex when you press under the headlights? Especially the portion under the headlight closer to the wheel well?

Less than 5k miles on my Mustang Gt and the dash rattles, but only at what I can figure is specific temperatures. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It has active exhaust so I have it set to quiet when I drop the kids off at school and I notice rattles more then as opposed to when the exhaust volume is on normal or sport.
