For me I can only really hear it on the driver's side...and only seems to happen with crosswind hitting driver's side.
Interesting because I hear it much more on the passenger vs the driver side. The sound in the video is spot on though.

Go back to your carpet thread and leave our rattle alone! ?
fair enough, I'm on enough state lists already; I don't need to be on any involving not leaving rattles alone.

This morning I drove into work via my typical 30 minute drive. We have about a 20mph sustained wind that was a cross wind many times throughout my drive. I had 0 rattle the entire drive. We hadn't had much wind lately so I drove in, radio off, expecting to have a good chance at isolating it's location a bit better.

I'm not sure why this time I didn't have any rattle. I removed the foam that I placed in the upper windshield area because I didn't want to prevent water from channeling. The only place that I have foam is under the covering in the frunk closest to the windshield and a few spots in the access panels within the storage compartment in the frunk. All of those locations previously still resulted in rattling.

Most of the previous tests were in warmer weather as our winds in the summer/fall months are normally afternoon winds. In the winter they become all day. I say this because I wonder if the louvers do have something to do with this. My drive into work was in 48 degree weather and previous tests were probably in 70ish degree weather.

Todd, my thoughts exactly! While I can confirm that I still have not heard the rattle since receiving my car back, I was also wondering if the louvres are staying either open or closed when normally they'd be the opposite during my commute, possibly causing me to think its resolved but the weather is just helping us out?

Not sure if anyone else adjusted their windshield fluid hose as well but I haven't heard any rattling since and I've driven in crosswinds multiple times since. I think that was the source for me.

Oddly, mine went away and I'm not sure how... I'm wondering if it's temperature related so I'm going to wait until I can get the car into a warmer climate.

I 100% believe this to be temperature related, somehow. As I mentioned, I had my front end replaced and thought that that sorted the issue out as I didn't hear it. It was also cold, or cold for Southern California. It heated up during the tail end of last week and the weekend and the rattle came back. It was chilly again this morning, no rattle. I have no idea.

Go fondle your hose and see if it rattles. If so adjust it tight with the snap connector so it's not touching the cowl.

Alright, I just read the entire thread. Some entertainment there... but has anyone found a true fix? Im taking mine (GT) to the dealer. I would say mine starts at 60mph and is LOUD. It is behind the glove box and gets a little louder when opened. It happens pretty much every single time I hit 55-60 mph, doesn't matter the wind, doesn't matter the road. It sucks. Its embarrassing. Ford should find a fix because many are experiencing this, not just the 25-50 people on this thread. Anyone have a sure fix? (Ill go fondle my hose now)

So I think the correct answer is, time will tell. We've assumed before that we found a fix, just to be proven wrong. Many of us are trying different things, as you've read, and some claim there's a fix, but before I would venture to say conclusively that it's fixed we need time.

I think as of right now there's been a lot that we've removed form being possible and some things that are being tested as a "guaranteed fix". Right now we're leaning towards the washer hose and possibly the louvers.

Thanks for the reply. The foam pieces everywhere, the hose, and the louvers. Like others have said...it seems so "far away" from the louvers to be that...but I guess anything is possible. And mine is more on the passenger side than the driver side (hose). Hopefully Ford has gathered info for the dealers to repair.

Hit some absolutely massive crosswinds yesterday that were blowing the car all around on the highway. Not a single rattle. Booyah!

edit: False hope folks...false hope.
