Apparently the problem my techs were having was some of the modules weren't calibrating properly, so they had to do the install over and over to get it to take properly.

I was told at 8:30 it was ready except for hosing it off (I ask them not to put it through the non-touchless car wash). Now it's 2PM and I'm a bit annoyed. They said the guy cleaning it was at lunch at 12:30, and they're waiting for him to tell them it's done.

Sometimes the service advisor also gets really busy and doesn't call until he gets another "break" in his schedule to call clients. Sometimes I'll just call the normal service desk and check if my car is ready if the advisors has indicated everything is wrapped up but for something small or the car wash.

Body Shop Manager said it was ready at 8:30 except for hosing off and wiping down. 4 hours later, I did call, at 12:30. They said the cleaning guy was at lunch. Now it's 2PM...

This was supposed to be a one day job, which I agreed to let them take 2 days to do. Then the updates, which took all of the 2nd day due to Ford's servers being down.

They just said to head over, the Body Shop Manager will help him finish it up.

Just got back. Gained a door ding (which they will fix with PDR when I do the glass recall). Couldn't verify which updates were done because paperwork resides with a person off on Fridays...

Kick to open hatch didn't work.

Redid PAAK and backup code. Turned kick to open off, and on again. Still doesn't work. Fob opens it fine, button inside opens it fine, kick does not.

Range prediction has noticeably changed. Now at 73% says 165 miles. It was saying not much more at 90%. So that's one of the fixes that the updates were supposed to do.

Also lost my home charging location. No problem to add back after it charges tonight, although it will charge to 100% unless I manually stop it.

Did not gain a frunk button.

Can somebody confirm if that update increase usable battery capacity to 70-91 kWh (from 68-88)?

You were in the discussion earlier in the thread, I don't know that anyone's going to be able to confirm it at this point.

Can anyone who has had the updates installed tell me if the lock buttons on the doors work reliably now? The touch sensitive ones above the door open button.

I’m hoping the updates to each door module will fix that.
I didn’t even realize there was a lock button on the door ?. Thank you for that!

In its current state it’s not all that useful. I’m hoping the door module updates will fix that.

The simple way to test would be to deplete the battery down to 0 and charge to 100 once before andthen after the update to see if more power went in.

Well, I'm not going to zero anytime, and with the inaccuracy of FordPass, I wouldn't trust the numbers. With rounding, there's no way you're going to see 3 kWh, i.e. a 3.41% increase. Especially with current loss from the wall to the battery.

It would be really nice, and EXPECTED, for @Ford Motor Company to DOCUMENT exactly what 21P22 does. Owners of $60,000 cars shouldn't be wasting their time wondering. I've been underwhelmed so far with the notes for each OTA update and with each FordPass update.

Here's an example of what I'm asking for:

This will include updates for ... "improved range in cold weather, DC fast charge total time improvements, display range accuracy..."

New wording I'd like to see:

"Increased available battery capacity from 88kWh to 91kWh, changed the DC fast charging curve as well as increased the speed of charging up to 90% vs. the former 80%, changed the calculation that the display range uses to make it closer to reality..."

I'm seeing 209 miles of range on 90% charge, versus last week seeing something like 170 before 21P22. I have no idea how much of that is 21P22, and how much is that it was 60 degrees this morning vs. 30 last week.

Yesterday, Temps 50+, car charged to 90% showed 205 range. Today, temp is 30. Range unchanged. Result of this update. Interesting.

So if I'm able to DCFC at 26kW @ 83% SOC, does that mean I have had 21P22 applied?

My dealer/service advisor is ignoring my requests to email me my last service report. So today I went for a DCFC session. The closest EA site is having some problems, and I only got 35kW @ 75% but was still pulling 26kW above 80%. I take this to mean I have 21P22, as otherwise I would have been in the 8kW range, correct?
