Departure Time Not Working

Title says it all. Just got my Mach E on Monday and both days since, the departure time setting hasn't worked.

Had it set for warm and 6AM and when I got in the car it was freezing cold.

Tried setting it up from the app and in the car itself. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Departure times work really well for me. The few times that I’ve noticed it not working (check FP app about 15 minutes before departure) I would force close FP, open FP back up walk out to the car, the welcome lights come on and the car starts doing its warmup. I think the car goes to sleep and forgets to wake up, so I manually walke it.

Departure times may be location-based like charging times are. If so, you have to charge at that location first before saving the location.

Same issue. I've tried twice using the app to schedule it. I'm thinking the app doesn't work. I don't need departure times on a regular basis so next time I will set it in the car and see if that's the difference

Mine stoped being consistent after I turned it off for a week. Deleting it and setting it up in the vehicle didn’t work. Deleting it and setting it up through the app appears to be working, just don’t make any changes once it is set.

Open the app about 15-20 min before you leave, if it still says “preparing to drive” it’s not working (it will say this initially but not towards the end). If it says “preconditioning cabin” you’re good to go.

Same problem here(been like that since day one, nothing fixes it for me), easiest go-around-solution is to keep it plugged in, that always works for me

Well Looks like the fix I mentioned above no longer works. Preconditioning failed today, I had to remote start it but that doesn’t work as well.

Just had similar problems with my mme. Precondition always worked with it plugged in but never with it being unplugged, but now departure time for preconditioning will not work at all plugged or not.

Mine appears to have stopped working after upgrading to FordPass 4.13.0

Mine worked for a day or two and hasn’t worked since , don’t know if it was because juice box charger was set for TOU and departure time was set after TOU ended.

I deleted TOU on juice box and entered TOU on Fordpass but doesn’t seem to help

I was under the impression that Departure Times was intended for use ONLY when plugged in. I haven't tried it with FP 4.13, but it has worked perfectly since I got the car in November. I'll try it again tomorrow morning.

I seem to remember seeing a toggle for “precondition when not plugged in” or something similar.
But I think the consensus on here was that it will precondition the cabin only, not the battery.

TOU by Utility on Fordpass seems to screw everything up so went back to entering time to charge myself on juice box and Fordpass.

will check tomorrow morning if pre condition works ok
