what is best replacement for factory installed Parellis

For every tire raved about, there's complaints.what is best replacement for factory installed Parellis
We will most certainly forward your words of praise to the 2004 E Highway 6 Alvin, TX 77511 location. Thank you for your long standing history of doing business with us.My family (dad, brother, and son specifically) have done business with Discount Tire for decades. We were mostly won over because of the stunning number of tires that Discount Tire replaced, no questions asked, when they would get destroyed off road in West Texas when we'd go hunting. The terrain was brutal and you would never head out without at least 2 spares per vehicle. Seriously.
We swore we would find Discount Tires breaking point, but we never got anything but smiles and assurances that there would be nothing for us to worry about.
Fast forward to today, and although we no longer venture out to the land that has long since been sold, both we and the Red and white tire store are still standing.
By the way, this is a fairly new store. Zip code 77511
And I had never visited them because I had done business in the next town over for so many years. But they were awesome. Feel free to reach out and tell them they earned a "locals" future business and saving me the drive from now on.
Good folks.
OFF TOPIC: I propose a subforum for all of us who moved to the Mach-E from a Clarity.About the same range hit for my wife's Honda Clarity PHEV running on Run Flats.
But at least the RFT means she does not have to pull over for a flat.
Continue driving on zero air pressure is much better than waiting for roadside assistance...
I wonder what causes road noise to be more pronounced in the ev tires? After reading the article I'm back and forth on what next tire to get. It came with the p zero summers but too much of a hassle with the 45 degree cutoff for operating, tho wasn't a problem this past winter in GA. I just want to mount and forget my tires. So perhaps the all season michelins or the pirelli all season.OK, so I can only compare the OEM EV Continentals to the non EV Continentals.
And with less than 1000 miles on the OEM tires, I'm basically comparing brand new tires to brand new tires back-to-back.
It finally stopped raining cats & dogs and when I left the office it was a nice dry 67F day. I repeated the same ~25 mile route home that I have made for 24 years. And had driven 13 days consecutively in the new GTPE.
If someone GAVE me 4 fresh OEM Continentals and 4 of the Continentals I had mounted this morning and said I had to decide on one set or the other, it'd be a No Brainer. The non EV tire is so much nicer from the cockpit. Smoother, quieter, more grip. And less expensive to boot.
The road noise isn't gone, but everything aural as well as road irregularities are "muted" in comparison. The OEMs weren't bad tires in any way. I had no complaints. Mostly because I couldn't compare them and I was still in the honeymoon period of "how can this car handle so much better than it's weight says it can?"
Well it can handle even better.
Very pleased.
Don't really know the difference between the:
Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus
and the
Control Contact Sport SRS+
Both are 103Y and boast similar high performance claims. But I do like the word Extreme and wonder what I might be missing? ?
(Edit: It appears that Continental describes the SRS+ as pretty much the same tire as the DWS06+, but exclusively for Discount Tire)
I doubt these are going to be long life tires, so I might get to find out sooner than later.
It's crazy how much choice we have these days amongst tires that would rival exotic race rubber not too many years ago. And insane vehicles to mount them on.
I’m guessing low rolling resistance and higher load rating could both impact road noise.I wonder what causes road noise to be more pronounced in the ev tires? I also wonder if some element is also the comparative quiet in an EV, an ICE hides a lot of extraneous noises.I’m guessing low rolling resistance and higher load rating could both impact road noise.
Quick google search found this-
Tire Features That Cut Road Noise
Tire noise reduction is a science. Designers have figured out how to tune tread patterns to change the harmonics and disrupt air flow. There are sizing and rating considerations, too. Here’s what to look for to get quieter tires:
- Continuous, circumferential ribs with straight grooves in between.
- Varied tread block shapes that create a multiple pitch pattern.
- Smaller blocks.
- A reinforced shoulder, which stabilizes tread blocks.
- Small hash marks inside the grooves that break up air flow.
- Narrower tire sizes.
- Softer rubber composition.

For sure you notice other noises like wind and tire more because of how quiet the cars are.I also wonder if some element is also the comparative quiet in an EV, an ICE hides a lot of extraneous noises.
How often do you get flats??
Most new cars haven't come with spare tires for some time now. I carry a plug kit too and take a modernspare.com spare tire on trips. You only need to get one with the "mobility kit" to want to seek an alternative solution. If the tire is so flat that you can't get the fix-a-flat in the tire you're still stuck. I have a plug kit in the car now to deal with that.
Run flats would have been far preferable to extending my usual 30 minute drive home to nearly 2 hours because Ford chose not to put a damn spare in the car...nor even a spot to put one there!
Spare tires are long a thing of the past in almost every car now. The last eight or nine cars I had had no spare, were on run flats or more frequently fix a flat. I can just hear the soaring complaints of people that the "spare takes up too much room in my mach e" had ford fitted one. Ford is in a no win situation on almost everything they do, a huge segment will complain about it for the sake of complaining. You only need to get one with the "mobility kit" to want to seek an alternative solution. your ride will be much more harsh. I have AAAWhen my OEM Michelins wear out, I am going to get Run Flat Tires (RFT) ASAP.
Can't stand having to use a mobility kit.
Would rather drive up to 50 miles to get to a tire store.
