You want the truth? Here’s the truth. There are only two camps of Mach E owners: those with problems, and those who don’t know they have problems. Anybody who says their MME is perfect isn’t paying close enough attention. Everybody has some of the same software bugs. Everybody has the same crappy FordPass app - but it might not bother you.

So, with that out of the way, I love my Mach E. Mechanically, it is nearly flawless. The one mechanical issue I’ve had - driver screen buzz - is going to be fixed in the next 48 hours. And while I can’t share specifics, I’m pretty sure none of the new builds will have this problem. :)

The in-car software can be annoying. But I’m pretty sure Ford will have a permanent fix for the door unlock bug soon. It’s only going to get better.

FordPass…. I dunno. That may be a while before it gets better. But it’s a relatively small part of owning the car.

Fixed in the next 48 hours just for you? Or for everyone?

Will you be able to share anything after 48 hours? New builds won't have the issue sure, but what about us? I'd like to know if I should wait for the solution you know about, or start getting into 3D printing to block the noise and spending a bunch of time when I shouldn't have.

My wife and I are very much enjoying our MME. Forum members are largely enthusiasts that don't necessarily represent the larger buying public. Even with ICE vehicles there are always a few issues when manufacturers update engines and software.

Certainly the FordPass App and PAAK could be much better, and I hold out hope that they will be. But for me this is minor issue. For my wife, these are non issues as she only cares that the car runs well, is user friendly, and most importantly, she doesn’t have to pump gas again.

Also keep in mind that Ford does monitor this forum, so pointing issues and complaints can assist them in improving the vehicle.

Yes!!! I've had mine since March, and I love it. I love how solid and substantial it feels on the road (my last car was a Prius V, so the bar is admittedly fairly low for me in that regard), the torque and instant acceleration is amazing, the interior is roomy and high-end (I have a First Edition), and the exterior looks great. As I mentioned previously, the car has gotten a ton of attention and people are constantly asking me about it and telling me how good it looks. I look forward to driving it every day.

My one quibble has been the occasional bugginess of phone-as-a-key. Oh yeah, and also the screen sometimes shows brief random errors, like telling me I'm near Philz Coffee when I'm not. But these are minor things. I'll take the Mach E's excellent build quality over the Teslas' panel gaps and and general shoddiness any day.

The car is more fun to drive than anything I've ever owned, and it isn't even close. While sporty and fast, it is also quiet and feels refined. I'd definitely buy it again, and if my wife doesn't stop taking mine, I might have to.

This information would have been MUCH more useful for the OP instead of telling them “every part is back ordered” and “majority of dealers have no clue” how to fix them.

If you don’t like it when someone corrects you when you post false information and literally call it “fact,” then just stop doing that and you won’t have to resort to name calling. Solve your own problems.
I don't stand corrected at all. As far as false information, what was false, or should I ask what was a false opinion? If you are going to use actual quotes to quote someone, you should get the entire context not just the piece you want to try to change the narrative.

Current state, it has way too many bugs and issues.
- Read these forums or do any research, the car has bugs and issues. Some people apparently have zero issues, I have small issues therefor that statement is my opinion of the state the car.

Add the fact that the MAJORITY (the part you left out in your quote of me) of dealers have no clue how to service them.
- You can look around these forums and see a number of people complaining about dealerships not having the knowledge of EVs. Three out of the four to five dealers around me are clueless from my dealing with them so far and from their own admittance. That is the majority of the dealers in my area that I would use to express my opinion of the dealerships. SoCal contributes to 70% of the EV market (last I saw), you would think they would have a better A game. They can't even manage to get the factory door code to me after a month of ownership.

And on top of that, BASICALLY any part you would need is back ordered due to the world wide shortage.
- Once again BASICALLY any part, I never said EVERY part is back ordered as you quoted me saying. Once again, read through these forums and just watch the news. The shortage and inability for plants to keep up with demand is not unknown news.

It’s just not a good time to jump feet first into the non Tesla EV market. Tesla’s service absolutely crushes Fords in every aspect.
- This is my opinion. Other people have also made comments like this as well. Ford has been around for centuries, you would THINK their customer service would be worlds better than some random odd ball company that started to make cars. Tesla is not perfect by any means, they have issues as well.

I still enjoy the car, and I’m sure it will only get better.
-Lets not forget that that statement either. I enjoy the car, I believe the issues the majority of people have will be resolved in time and the car will be excellent. Right now though, its just not there yet.

I get it, its a MME Forum, going to be on that fanboy hype train and chastise anyone that says something negative about their beloved car. It's a car....

It’s a hardware fix. I hope to share more info by tomorrow evening, and I hope that this info will help others.

I've had mine since February and after almost 8k miles, I absolutely love it. It's my first EV and I'm glad I took the plunge. Like any new model car, or really any new car, there are a few oddities and things I would like to see improved, but by and large it's a keeper! I still get a smile on my face when I walk into the garage and the puddle lights greet me. ?

Here's my impression. I love the vehicle. I love Corporate Ford. You need to be careful and choose the right dealer.

Basically, I was an early adopter, and there were some issues. I still have horrible wind noise and am looking forward to Ford providing some fix here (FE glass roof), but outside of that, any issue I've had, they've acknowledged and have been transparent with on either immediate or later fixes.

Watch the Munro videos. I was surprised by how transparent they were about some of their decisions about the car and their sincere desire to lead in this category.

I also went with Ford Options, because in another 2 and a half years, they will have learned and have an even better Mach E, and I'll be purchasing that one too.

I've had mine for a couple months now and absolutely love it. While there have been occasional glitches, they have been minor and resolved by restarting the car. I've been driving BMWs for years and this car is better in ever way - except cornering where the Mach E is very good, just not great the way the 3 series is. No going back to ICE for me.

I debated responding because, well, it's not my job to convince the OP of anything.

Just because I love my car and am thoroughly happy with it doesn't mean someone else will feel the same. Take the time to do some indepth research from folks like @Mach-E VLOG , alex on autos, edmunds.com, etc. Those folks have spent a lot of time with the cars, and have plenty of videos and information about the Model Y and Mach E.

Spending $60k on a car because a bunch of strangers said they loved their cars is probably not a good move

I do like my MME, AWD ER, driving it for 6 months now. Really enjoy the looks of the crossover SUV compared to others. Lot's of folks have been interested in knowing more about it. I do enjoy driving it and it is my first EV. I find it to be very comfortable inside. I read another post that mentioned how the owner has a great pride in their ownership, keeping it clean, detailing it. I find myself doing the same and enjoy keeping it looking sharp.

I avoided buying the GT because I was concerned it would have too stiff of a ride. I saw recently the GT will have an advanced suspension system. I am very tempted to upgrade to a GT if it accomplishes a smoother ride for my typical daily driving.

For the price point I felt it was a really good looking vehicle and suited my needs. I am finding it to be more fun than I expected.

I like it very much and it's my first electric vehicle. One thing I can't get over is the braking, there's a "brake coach" to teach how you how brakes should be applied. Whenever I want to brake hard, it just doesn't stop.

Does anyone know if I can switch from D to N when coasting to stop? Would that help to brake in shorter distances?
Brake problems?
U need to try 1 peddle…..if u have issues stopping your MM3 after that, something wrong w car

We get asked this question every day... our answer: "Best car we ever bought. Hands Down!"

I dislike the app... I hate myself for the door ding..

We have had a lot of vehicles over the years. We try to be a practical family. So vehicles that can carry kids , luggage and pets comfortably... are our style. The added "Ease-of-Performance 0-60..."... that is just gravy.

Hey everyone! I am new to the group here. I joined because I am in the market for a MME. Live in southern CA so most likely going to get the CA Rt 1. But… since I have joined this group, I have noticed that there seem to be a lot of issues/complaints with the vehicle. To be fair, I currently drive a Jeep Cherokee and there are certainly ample issues/complaints on the Cherokee forums. So I guess all I really am looking for are some good positive experiences. What do you all LOVE about your MME? Any SOCAL owners? If so, which model did you get and how is that working out for you. At the end of the… are you all happy with your purchase? Thanks in advance for any comments (helpful, sarcastic, or otherwise)! Be safe out there!
I love my Mach E and wouldn't give it up for anything. Lots of fun and drives fantastic.
