Have you guys touched these panels in direct sun? Damn things are almost at the temperature of the sun, they get so damn hot. I wonder if that is what is causing the material to stress and crack.
Wow, I've never found mine to be noticeably hotter than any other exterior unshaded surface. I park in a huge open parking lot, no shade.

Maybe a short in yours? Seems really odd.

I wouldn't describe the door panels as "cracked" on mine, but it does look like the plastic has a seam manufactured into it leading down to where the door open button is, and that seem is very noticeable on all four doors at this point.

Interesting..... Ya, mine are blazing hot after sitting in the San Diego sun for a couple hours. Due to where I work I use the door pad to lock/unlock my car every day. There have been times where I've had to punch in the button pretty quick because it was so hot.

I just always assumed its due to it being black and somewhat transparent which could radiate heat more. I should go find my IR Temp gun, although right now its cold in SD.

Don't know what to tell you... it was cracked, they replaced it, it's no longer cracked. Best of luck on yours...
Wondering if the line/ crack came back at all after you had the part replaced?

Nope - so far so good. All the other things they’ve had to replace have survived as well. Now at almost 23K miles.

I checked before I applied the Carbon Fiber.

No visible crack/split, but as others have said, it's probably 'clean enough' to not be able to see without the zoom on the camera.

The carbon fiber keeps it new looking. PPF/Ceramic would work as well I'd think.

/shiny bits at the bottom are from sun reflection.

Just saw this today on my car, too. Rear driver’s side (left).

That top pic looks like a crack, it has distorted the round area around the button. If you push on that area does it open up?

It seems odd that all 4 would be cracked right after I got the car
Take a look at the pics from the OP. The round indent is interrupted by a crack, you can see how it's offset. I'd imagine some are seams possibly but his is really bad.

Cause it doesn't look like a crack
Did you look at his pics? It's obviously cracked. The plastic round indent is offset, no seam would look like that.

Same here, but the original plastic cracked anyway.

I won't be surprised if mine did the same thing, 35% is high number but again someone may claim that those numbers are skewed by fake members and bots!

No cracks here. I was also worried about scratches so I had PPF put on them right after I took delivery.

Mine of course has a slight crack in the same area, slightly off / on topic: Anyone notice these things scratch like crazy? I'm an auto detailer, haven't let the vehicle out of my sight (3 CCTV's on it at home) and the driver side door sill is scratched to an almost 'they forgot clearcoat' amount.

Could just be me and needs some polish, but before I noticed the crack I noticed the ridiculous amount of scratches... and it's covered with a brand new cover.

Thought I got some kind of scratch but I definitely have this too. Hmmm. Anyone thinking anything will be done about it?

My car is garaged and went to wash it and noticed water seeping out of a crack above the door lock on the key pad side. Did Ford replace this?
