I think you may be right there - just to keep the post updated incase anyone falls on it.
I took the car into ford. They charged me £150 to diagnose the car then £345 to repair the faulty door sensor. This was the DCMF not 'E' as vehicle RH drive. They replaced the door latch and PMI
They also did a recall on the rear camera
I have also today got an update to install software update BC-25.DC Which is the Bluecruise!!
Thanks everyone for your help! An just for costs the £495 also inc a rental vehicle for 2 days. The car was in for a total of 2 days, 1 day to diagnose and do the recall, the next to order and receive and install the part.
