Ford does not understand the market for the cost of what they charge for BlueCruise.
It's excellent, but not worth what they charge for it.
When I bought my 2022 MachE, it came with 3 years of BC and the fine print mentioned you could renew for $200 per year after that.

I swapped to a 2023 model and it came with only 90-day trial and then charged me $800 to renew for 1 year which I did pay.

Now I am seeing the renewal cost is $500 per year?

Seems like Ford has no idea what to charge. You think they would want to maximize the number of subscribers now to get more data to improve it. But nope.

$200 per year I am definitely in.
$300 probably still in.
$400-600 is a hard maybe.
$600+ I'm out from now on.

My current sub is up in a few months and I turned off auto renew. I'm not sure I will re-sub or not. It's great but basically only covers interstates around me which I use, but not a ton.

I didn’t have BCHF on my 2021 GT-PE. I was very happy when my 2024 GT’s complimentary subscription ended. ?‍♂?

My BC subscription ends tomorrow. I am not about to spend $600 when Ford can't manage to send me any BC updates. With the help of a Ford tech online we found that the updates for my 2021 Premium, AWD, Ext. range Mach-E are scheduled as "SOON". Much like the timeline for my free NACS adapter.

Your BlueCruise service is coming to an end for Sparky and will expire on 3/13/2025 if you choose not to renew.

You and your 2021 Ford vehicle with its Ford BlueCruise Prep Package have been with BlueCruise since the beginning. As one of our early adopters, we're offering you a special one-time discounted rate on a BlueCruise Connected Service plan - three (3) more years of service for just $600.* If you don't want to take advantage of this 3-year offer, BlueCruise Connected Service plans are also available at the regular monthly or annual rate through the FordPass App or your Ford Account.
First, I totally get your frustration.

Second, I’d be curious to know what incentives are offered after you let your BC lapse. I’m guessing they’ll try to earn back your business, but no guarantees.

Third, $200 a year for three years is a pretty good deal. I’m about 15 months into the same renewal. And about 12 of those months were without BC1.3.

Fourth, BC1.3 is a nice upgrade over 1.0, and I suspect it really will be coming soon to the rest of the 21s.

So, put all that together and make the decision that is best for you.

I can live with $200 a year. No way in hell would I re-up at $800 a year. Not sure if they’re still trying for that pie in the sky number or if it has come down to earth, but I suspect Ford is gonna follow the satellite tv/radio pricing strategy - a good deal as long as you’re willing to haggle every time you’re up for renewal.

As someone mentioned, go to your connected services and click on Bluecruise to see the renewal offers. Many of us had an option to renew for $0/year.

I was fortunate to get a used car that was upgraded to 1.3. I'm loving it and the ADAS overall.
Just checked, No special offers on my connected services.

Same - Their marketers seem to think there's a snowball's chance in hell I might pay almost $500 to have their software chirp and beep at me for the next year and randomly bail from handsfree mode at unexpected times for no discernible reason... Nope.

Agreed. As much as I like the system I don't see it worth that much. I'd consider it if that were for three years though.

The dumbest fucking response I’ve ever seen in my life. You can be suicidal if you want, but don’t gamble with other people’s lives. I will ignore YOU, not the post because nothing you say will be of any value to me. Good bye.
I agree with you and I have blocked so many users here on this forum I pretty much only see my posts and to be honest I'm getting sick of seeing my posts as well.

My 3-yr BC deal ends in June '26. I saw an offer in the Connected Services area of the FordPass app to add one more year for $0. I signed up already. You may want to look for this.

Beyond that - adaptive cruise control is fantastic without the hands-free BC feature. I see no need to pay much (if at all) for the ability to take my hands off the wheel.
Mine expires in November and the current offer is CAD$650/yr. Not gonna happen, as much as I like it. Even when using it I keep my hand loosely on the wheel, so not a big loss for me.

Question about Adaptive Cruise without BC though - does the Adaptive Cruise still handle stop & go traffic?

I’m still hopeful that logic prevails and someone at Ford draws the price elasticity curve.

Personally, Ford could pay ME $495, I still wouldn't use it.... ? I really don't see why people think it's so cool to not have to steer.... ?
I drove from Denver to Florida in my MME earlier this week, and now I truly understand the benefits of BC. Yes, not having to physically steer across Kansas, Missouri, and much of Georgia was a godsend. It made long driving days much more tolerable, and I was more alert throughout the trip. Driver warnings forced me to pay attention, so, unlike Tesla's autopilot, I was still in charge of the decisions and actions. I started the trip keeping my hands on the steering wheel out of paranoia, but by day two, I was hands-free anytime I wasn't in heavy traffic. I agree that BC is limited for short trips and commutes, but for anything cross-country, it really helps.

you can’t understand how much less fatiguing it is until you experience it first hand. Your awareness on the back half of a long trip is much much higher.
