FordPass Version 3.28.0 Rolling out

There’s a new message available with this latest release.

On Vehicle page, I now often get a “Partial response received - Please pull to refresh on screen to update data” banner. Interestingly, the charge status on the Vehicle page will then refresh after a few swipe downs, but the charge status on the home page does not. There’s no good reason for that to be the case.

Also Ford, a very small nit, but who writes this stuff? The banner just needs to say “Swipe down to refresh data.”

Just noticed that the charge status on the vehicle page doesn’t match up with the home page.

So 1.4 finally showed up yesterday. In honor of that, and because I had been unable to set a backup start code with 3.27 crashing all the time, I did a complete uninstall/reinstall. Cleared everything out of my phone and everything but deleting my profile in the car.
So far everything is working as expected. I now have SecuriAlert. When I hit cancel on the 'PaaK is trying to connect to your car' notification it goes away and stays gone. I'll keep an eye on battery usage today. ?? I'm in a good spot for a while. ??

With 3.28 and PU 1.6 I had a great first day with Paak. Then yesterday all went to hell. PaaK was absolutely terrible and the app kept closing not crashing. It's so embarrassing when you are transporting other people. I'm about to contact my dealer for a second fob. Ford this is a joke.

So has anyone figured out how to fix the crashing issue without re-installing? It keeps doing it and it's getting really annoying to re-set the PaaK every time.

Yup, even throwing a charge in the middle the day, my phone is just about dead now. I thought the battery drain was better, but it accelerated throughout the day. Guess I'm back to restricted mode.

Not sure if it was FP 3.28.0 or Power-Up 1.16 but my Securialert now is functioning as scheduled (23:00-07:00).

My PaaK continues to work well but my wife's is hit or miss.

So has anyone figured out how to fix the crashing issue without re-installing? It keeps doing it and it's getting really annoying to re-set the PaaK every time.

I’ve been through this twice. I’ve tried many, many things and the only thing that worked is reinstalling FP and redoing PaaK setup.

I got SecurAlert, but ... it needs a little work. Went to the grocery store, got out of my car, began shopping, then 5 minutes later, I get an alert saying my door had been opened. I panicked for a second then tapped the notification and saw it was an alert from when I'd left my car 5 minutes before. If that is how it will work normally, it's kind of useless.

You can set a schedule for times when you definitely want to know if the car has been accessed. That's what I did. Of course, it is pointless if you are concerned about someone accessing the car when running an errand.

On a somewhat related note, I just got this email from Ford to fill out a survey about PaaK. It still won't allow me to fill it out yet, but once it does I won't be holding back . I'll be sure to channel all of our frustration and rage (keeping it cordial), but sticking to the facts.

Filled out my survey. Never asked anything about battery use. Guess they were just looking for feedback on the update which may or may not have done anything. Sure would be nice if they had some type of known issues list so we could act like they care. 3 versions of battery destruction now seems to indicate they are ok with it.

The section EV Data, is that new to 3.28? It doesn’t seem to show anything in there just yet.

IOS here and my FordPass started crashing on me today, and won't open at all. I've been on 3.28 since it came out.

Just noticed that the charge status on the vehicle page doesn’t match up with the home page.

You have to force close and restart the app in order for the home page to update. Obviously you shouldn’t have to do that.

I just realize I no longer has the “Manage charging” option

How do I change my desired charge level? We can only change it from the car now?
