FordPass Version 4.30.0 Released for iOS

The dealer had my car for a few days to run some updates, as there were some "communication errors" showing up. While she was in the shop I asked them to update the modules, so I can have a Frunk Button. And they did. So I have a Frunk Button on the Sync Screen; but alas not on the Ford Pass App. I believe my phone is set to auto update the APP and when I searched for the App on the Store, it said "open" and not "update". Which makes me believe I'm up to date. Why is the Frunk Button not on my Ford Pass Screen? Any help getting this done would be appreciated.

@67 Stang Convertible It won't show up until you have a new OTA pending because that's when the server checks that you have the necessary software versions for frunk open access. That button on the FordPass app relies totally on Ford enabling it on their side, nothing you can do with the vehicle now, just gotta wait. Shouldn't be too much longer till next OTA.

Ok...on Android, the charging details now crashes the app.

Same issue here with Android and charging details.

On android pixel 6a with current android firmware and fordpass now crashes as soon as I touch the charging detail button.

Android ver13 no issues here.

Edit: just noticed the same bug with charger status

Previous Cadillac and current Suburban owner, Ford app is horrendous compared to to anything in the GM line. Lots of work needed. Ford would be better off outsourcing it feels roboblox yahoo geocities mash up.

I disagree about your comparison to the GM myChevrolet app.

I have a Chevy Bolt and an MME.

The Ford app is more responsive, presents more information related to charging, and believe it or not, is more reliable. The myChevrolet app has not updated the charge status in the last 3 days for my Bolt.

I also had a frunk button appear! My Job 1 car is at the dealer atm for Pre-Collision Assist fix #3 so I’m guessing they did some updates. I so badly want to drive to the dealership, press THE FRUNK BUTTON, and see if it works! But alas, all my Fordpass connectivity settings have also been reset, so I can’t actually see my car’s location ?

It works! My Fordpass frunk button works! My Pre-Collision Assist still doesn’t (they ordered the cable) but I got a consolation prize at least!

Update the app and try again.

That was fast! Not plugged in at the moment so can't test.

Until last week, FordPass blocked the frunk button for all vehicles built prior to July 6, 2021... so unless they manipulated build data via FDRS, I'm not sure how this was accomplished. ?

Nope. I've had the frunk button in FordPass for a couple of months. I still don't have it on the Sync screen, though.
