Hey all,

Does anyone know if you can adjust or even disable the timer for the rear USB and 12v outlets when turning off the car with FORScan?

I would like to set it to turn off with the car, or at least within a minute or so, instead of the 15+ mins that it is currently set to.

Thanks

Yes you can adjust the time out (I have mine set to 60 seconds) for the 12V power points however I've never checked if it affects the USB outlets. You can disable the time out feature for the 12V power points but all that does is keep them on all the time.

I might have not said it correctly - so in order for the outlet to turn off sooner, it needs to be enabled and the timing just needs to be adjusted, correct? And is 60 secs the minimum?

Do you by any chance know/remember what needed to be adjusted in FORScan?

Thanks

The Power Point outlet time outs are ENABLED and have a default value of 1800 seconds (30 min). If you DISABLE the Power Point Time Out, then the outlets will stay on forever. So, you want to keep the time out feature enabled. You can change the time out to whatever you want. I changed mine from the default of 1800 to 60 so that they only stay on one minute. This will affect the 12V power points both in the console and the rear cargo area and the USB outlets at the rear of the console. The USB outlets at the front of the console under the dash stay on for 5 minutes and are not affected by changing this configuration. In FORScan, go to the BCM module (non-as built) and scroll down to Power Point Time Out and change the seconds to your desired time out then write and you are done.

I appreciate this. Thank you very much for the explanation on this. I really appreciate it ??

Ok, yes the IPC does have a gold splash screen that matches the APIM and not sure what you would need to do to match the two. Haven't looked into that other than I know there are no splash screen options for the IPC like there are for the APIM.
The lack of matching gold splash for me (Prem faking a GT) pushed me to finally go back to the default blue screen. Not even a day later my kid is asking why it broke. "Can't you put the gold one back?"

Nice. Eq setting 1 or 2 adds a bit too much punch in the kick bass but it’s good for bumping the lows at lower volumes. Now that my hearing has gone to shit lol.

Yes, it's ok if the system is stock but if you sound deaden the car, especially the doors, it really tightens up the mid bass. Then you can use the bass EQ setting in sync to add a bit more if you want and it sounds much cleaner than it did prior to deadening. As far as adjusting the bass at lower volume, this is why it is important if/when you add a subwoofer to make sure to also install the remote volume control. I am frequently adjusting it based on the track played.

$100 to anyone that can figure out how to bring back the centered speedometer via FORScan ??
I dabbled with that quickly last week. Turned on Multi Display, Mexico Display, several different speedometer and lane assist options but no dice. I wasn’t in the As-Built obviously. I’ve never had the speedometer in the center going on three years now since I keep all the assist features turned on. Someone better than me may be able to look at the before and after of As-Built to see what changed if there even was anything that did in there.

I have no idea but enabling them did nothing. I tried combinations of various settings but got nowhere. I only spend about an hour on it and gave up. Doing it that way is kind of a shot in the dark. I really didn't think it would have made any difference but figured I'd try. There's probably more modules that need to be dealt with than just the IPC that I was fooling around with.

Any other changes worth making? I’ve done mirror reverse, temp on IPC, headlight ramping, and disable auto honk.
What does headlight ramping do? I assume this is the HRE Ramping under the HCM?

Instead of the high beams turning on and off instantly, there is a 2 second ramp up and 1 second ramp down. Much nicer and I believe most '22's and all '23's already have this. Not sure when they implemented it. Here is how to do it: #30

It's much, much nicer. I was surprised this mod works so well and now I love it.
