Fullscreen Android Auto is coming

Not sure if anyone else has already posted about this, but I was watching a Lightning delivery walkaround from Out of Spec and noticed that they had Android Auto running in full screen mode. So, it looks like you Android guys have something to look forward to in an upcoming OTA.

Cool but I won't hold my breath... at this pace, we'll probably see that update sometime between Q4 2024 and Q1 of 2026.

Ford doesn't really seem to give a flying f**k about mach-e owners.

It's pretty useless. Yay! more visible map. Streaming apps are already limited on menu size/depth, so more screen height offers nothing.

Split screen would be much more useful and already exists. Otherwise, we'll hopefully see one of the new layouts Google is working on sometime in the Fall.

You could probably get the current widescreen layout through setting DPI in AAWireless. The cool walk stuff will be rolling out pretty soon.

This is full screen? This is how Android Auto has looked since I got the car in January. What does your A Auto look like?

The picture you posted and the picture the OP posted are difference. Notice the gap between Android Auto and the SYNC's tiles below. The OPs photo doesn't have a gap.
