Wanted to let the forum know the Grizzl-E Mini has 5 units available (as of this post) on their website. They have been out of stock for a while but I finally was able to grab mine today.

I can't speak for how well they work, but in my research the Mini was the only portable charger I could find that can adjust its max amperage over a wide range since the MME doesn't have a way to limit the charging amperage in software. This is especially important for me so that I can have maximum flexibility for destination charging. My home circuit is capable up to 40A at 240V which pairs well with the Ford mobile charger. But my parent's house outlet can only go to 24A at 240V which means the Ford mobile charger would overload that circuit. This should also help my options for charging while at RV camping spots.

Have you received yours yet and if so, have you had any problems with it not charging your Mach E?

—— I got my mini today. Plugged it in to my 50amp 14-50 where I currently use the ford supplied 32amp. the mini didn’t work. Went thru the info in manual. Could not get it to go. message was “diodemissing”. Plugged in my ford charger and mach started charging again. Sent info to tech support at united chargers. I wantEd this for same reasons you mentioned.

Looks like there might be some compatibility issues with the Mini. I've gone through two of them, one was my original order and the other was a replacement that was sent when I reached out to support, and both gave me a DIODEMISSING error when trying to charge both my Mach E and my Bolt. I'm waiting to hear back from them as to what the next step is but at this point I'm hoping to just get my money back and move on.

Well this is not assuring. I got a mini a few weeks ago and won't get my car for at least a month. Hopefully their cs is good.

Do other J1772 chargers work on your vehicles? It's either the EVSE, or possibly the diode in your vehicles is actually blown from using a faulty EVSE. You can check by following this procedure:

A Leaf is used here, but the procedure is the same on all J1772 cars. The resistance between the pilot and ground pins should be significantly higher with the multimeter leads one way vs swapped around if the diode is intact. Reporting the two resistance values (as well as the proximity voltage) may also be helpful to report to Grizzl-E technical support.

It's 99.99999999% the EVSE in question as I have used the supplied Ford Mobile Charger, various public J1772 level 2 chargers, and EA DCFCs without any issues on both of my EVs.

Yes I have used both the Ford supplied charger and a 16amp charger I used on my 2017 Ford Focus electric. I have use chargers at several locations. the supplied charger works at both 120/240. I have a 14-50 outlet with 50 amp breaker. I’ve contacted united chargers support team and got a response that they got the ticket. I like the various but options this charger had but at this point disappointed. Charger is set to 40a and I tried to change to 32amp but could not. I know there are dip switches but the screws to remove the cover are not Phillips as in manual..

I just picked up my MME today so I haven't been able to try out the Mini until now. Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as all of you in getting the "DIODEMISSING" error. Has anyone got a usable response from United Chargers yet?

Has there been any updates?
I have had sparse communication with United Chargers support but from what I've received, no meaningful updates. As of last week, they said:

"Unfortunately, the team is still working on modifications and improvements on the Grizzl-E Mini to resolve existing issues and implement improvements to the unit and as of right now are not ready to provide you with a replacement unit."
They did offer to send me a Grizzl-E Smart unit as a replacement for the Mini but I declined since the Smart doesn't offer 110V charging and is not as portable as the Mini. If you have a Mini, you might be able to get this offer if you contact United Chargers support. I've heard positive success with the Smart on MMEs, at least compared to the Mini which nobody seems to have gotten working.

Has anyone found a suitable alternative? Mobile, 120/240 adjustable output. I'm looking at the Shell Recharge.
I actually ended up buying the Shell Recharge since I needed that adjustable amperage output for a trip. It's easy to use the buttons and overall pretty pleased with it. I'm still holding out hope that Grizzl-E fixes my Mini...

There are a few concerns I've had or issues experienced though. One of the times I used 120V, it gave me an improper ground error. I was on an extension cord from an outside wall outlet but it had worked earlier. Not sure if an issue with the charger or the extension cord. Your mileage may vary.
The other aspect of this charger which Tom addresses in that review video is the cable. It is very stiff even in warm weather and is challenging to work with. It's impossible to straighten out and I have a difficult time wrapping it up again to fit in the travel case. If the cable was thinner and much more flexible, this charger would be a clear winner.
