What are you all seeing as costs?

I have esurance and threw in my car with the same coverages on my m40i and my premium went up 156 every 6 months.

26 dollars a month. WTF...that can't be right...can it?

We have Allstate and the premium for the GT over my wife's current 2019 Mini Countryman is $106 every 6 months. Seemed about right to me for a new vehicle and a performance BEV.

I ran a quote through GEICO about a month ago and it was about $110 more for 6 months than my GTI

Paying $116/6mo for GTPE as a 3rd car, includes full cost replacement. 250ded., rental. Bundled with house as well.
Local Agent was surprised at cost when she first ran the #'s (she thought was high) but she did some research with other providers and then was no longer surprised. It's a high performance luxury EV, which some insurance companies are still struggling to properly value. The Bolt fires and Tesla self driving PR issues aren't helping.

Mine was surprisingly cheap as well, it went up only ~$90 every six months over our 2015 Toyota Sienna Limited.

The quote I got for my GT-PE is about $150/6 months higher than my Fusion Energi.

I still can't get a quote through State Farm. GT isn't a model in their system yet.

Miles per year make a big difference as well. So if you put 1k vs 12k i expect it to be a lot cheaper.

A lot of you are saying "over my previous". A total would be a better figure because xx over an unknown isn't as helpful. Your previous could have been a Ferrari or a pinto. I don't think the GT aspect differs from non GT price wise.

Yeah, but it's pretty much useless info anyway. Insurance rates differ dramatically by location, by coverage limits and deductibles, by driver history, credit worthiness, quality of insurance company, etc. Michigan is the 2nd highest state for car insurance (used to be the first), we're paying $928 ($742.40 after dividend) for 6 months. AMICA had to have the home office price it. And that's not a GT, it's a Premium AWD X.

I agree... There's a ton of variables. Although in California credit worthiness is not something they do. Interesting to know they do in other places.

I've got comparable quot. Everything almost the same as in your situation. Here are the quote in comparison to other cars

Not sure if they charge more for the GT, but the Geico policy for my Premium is only $248.50 for 6 months. And that's with two teenagers on my policy.

Before I ordered my Mustang convertible in 2001 I talked to my insurance agent first. I asked him the difference in insurance premiums between the regular and GT model and his response was, "you can't afford the GT." I asked him why. He said that the Mustang is considered a sporty car, the Mustang GT is considered a sports car. Big difference in insurance premiums for just that nuance.
