The HVBJB is designed to handle full current and voltage. The issue was the initial contactors were having issues that caused them to eventually fail. To prevent an outright failure the software was added to detect when a contactor was potentially failing, then gave an indication and limited current. There is no practical breaker application for this scenario. The real solution is a more robust HVBJB; however, the jury is still out on how well the latest iteration performs.Poor design. Should have software or hardware to protect HVBJB before it’s damaged. In your home you have circuit breakers to stop harmful voltages before they do any harm.
