This has been asked before but I would be interested to see the SOH of everyone’s battery and see if their is a correlation to degradation based on how people charge.

there is another thread where people are posting info but I haven’t seen anyone chart it.
It would be nice if Ford would be transparent, "after observing real owner data, here are key charging tips" they have all this data, it's probably not in a useable form though

My office is literally a mile from the house (4 days a week) and a 30 min drive once a week. I charge when it gets around 20% which is every 10-14 days.

ps. I took the money for Ford's Blue Cruise and bought an Electric Bike; so now I'm doing the 4 day a week office on the new Electric Bike. Much to the chagrin of my wife; who thinks I'm crazy.

After reading all these opinions it makes me wonder when some PhD candidate will research the correlation between peoples charging habits and sex lives!
? <= Stud dog here. I have genetic testing certificates and annual testing for the things they have not identified gene markers for. ??

I'm paying about let say plus minus 58$ a month level 2. And on Level 3 I do have the EA member pass and I charge about once a week to justify the monthly. Is $80 a month good? This is my GOM working here.

So you use EA when you are traveling to justify the $4 fee? Downgrade, then upgrade the morning or a trip. Then, downgrade immediately and it takes effect in 30 days.

I could not agree with this statement more.
Pretty much what I'm doing - charging when I want. When my charger is installed later this month, I imagine I might have a more regular schedule.

How does your solar system decide? I assume you have some sort of Smart Control for it.
I had solar installed last year, and I didn’t realize that solar systems (some) had that capability. I don’t think mine does.
My system is SolarEdge. The EVSE is integrated into the solar ecosystem and ties directly to the inverter. I can even charge the car off solar when the grid Is down as I found out a week or so ago. The order of priority for directing the energy is house, battery, car, then grid.

Here is a screenshot of my system running the house charging my battery, charging the car, and still having capacity left to sell to the grid. Most days the battery is full before I hit max production, then it tops the car up.

I'm retired. I charge to 70% most of the time when not planning any long trips. I plug in when charge state is in the 20 to 30% range unless I know I will need more the next day for a longer drive. I've only charged to 100% twice when I was going on 250 mile round trip trips. My battery state of health is 99.5% after 7,000 miles. When I know I will be out of town for a while, I try to leave the charge level near 50%.

That’s really cool, I don’t have a battery, but now I kind of wish I did. My solar system is so much more basic, unless there are features that I am unaware of.

At home, I charge to 90%. I plug in whenever I get home below 50%. Which for us is maybe once a week since we're retired.

Most of our miles our road trips though, so lots of DCFC and hotel/casino charging.

Battery SOH 94.5 at 41k miles.

The battery/backup interface was an expensive upgrade, but well worth it to us so the system can operate if the grid is down. We lost power for 9 days in August of 2020. 9 beautiful sunny days. We decided to get solar with a battery after that. The battery is not part of our payback calculation as it wasn’t included to reduce our power bill. We want to add two more batteries for a total of 30kw in the future.

Since we have a TOU power plan, the battery bridges the gap until power is cheap every day as a bonus.

I charge roughly once every 12 days. I work from home so not many miles are going on the car. When I do plug in, I charge it to 90% during off peak hours, and usually will only plug in when the SOC is below 25%.

My wife has an Audi Q4 e-tron. For her vehicle, we charge about every 5 days as her commute is roughly 25 miles round trip. The Audi gets charged to 80% each time and we follow the same process of not plugging in until the SOC is around or below 25%.

As an aside, the Q4 e-tron is pretty efficient. It's averaging roughly 3.61 miles/kWh compared to 3.18 for my MME. Although, I'm wondering if I'm seeing some efficiency loss because of the length of time in between charges and the relatively small amount of driving I'm doing (roughly 525 miles/month).
