How To Get Failed OTAs To Install

For the record, I removed the frunk panels so I could use my multi-meter to test the battery voltage directly. I got 12.8v although I have not idea if that is normal. My Focus ST battery tested at 13.1v. The reason I am concerned is I have a dashcam that is hard wired and uses power during parking-mode so I want to keep an eye on 12v battery levels. Already had my first low-battery warning just days after installing the dash cam. Not sure what voltage the battery has to drop to in order to trigger a low-battery warning. I adjusted the dashcam parking-mode settings to only stay on for a couple hours now so that should mitigate 12v power consumption.

Also be advised that % doesn’t update when the car is off, so you won’t be able to track 12V drains. Unless you do a manual FordPass refresh to update the value.

Your vehicle is way behind on updates and they've failing because of configuration issues. They replaced your GWM last year so that might have something to do with it. I'd recommend scheduling a visit to get the software updates done manually.

I haven’t been able to update since November or December. It’s saying update not completed. I called Ford and the guy on the phone told me the car tried 3 times then gave up months ago with some kind of manifest error, I don’t remember exactly what he said. However he didn’t mention the battery at all. I checked the dashboard today at it said 62%. So I went for a long drive and did some errands. Every time I stopped I left it running so it was a few hours. I got it up to 78% and it hasn’t moved since then. Can someone check my VIN and see what’s going on? My local dealer didn’t know. I’ll gladly message the vin but I don’t want to post it here.

it suggested to me to do a ford connect reset so I did that a few weeks ago but nothing has changed.

My Noco 3.5amp charger had zero effect (might try a higher amp one). Also Turned off parking mode on my dash cam but still no improvement. I’ll try to remember to get a voltage reading after work.

Ours has been attempting to update for what seems like months. We finally took ours to Ford to take care of and they wanted $250 since it's out of warranty. Wouldn't help us with the update.

I just followed the "Blower Charge" Method for three hours in my 2022 MME but it only increased the 12V battery from 66% to 71%. I don't have a dash cam or anything else plugged in.

Is my 12V battery unhealthy?
