I just followed the "Blower Charge" Method for three hours in my 2022 MME but it only increased the 12V battery from 66% to 71%. I don't have a dash cam or anything else plugged in.

Is my 12V battery unhealthy?

Looking at your history, yes your 12V battery has reached end of life and has low capacity, so it needs to be replaced. It will take an extremely long time (days) to reach a high SoC due to the degradation. This is causing your OTAs to fail.

Recommend replacement now, otherwise you can attempt this: Thread 'How to Recondition/Service Your 12V Battery'

I will get it replaced, thank you.

My MME is two years old and I don't drive it that much, which I'm guessing contributed to my 12V battery dying. Some weeks I only drive my MME about once a week for around 45 minutes total. After I get the new battery installed, should I follow the "Stay On" Method on a recurring schedule? For example, follow the "Stay On" Method for 30 minutes a day, or one hour every week, etc.?

Thanks again.

Do these instructions apply to a 'not complete' OTA or a failed OTA? Or are they the same thing?

In your situation a battery tender seems like a better idea. At least that is what I would do.

As explained in the PM, it's more important to limit the constant drain sources such as PAAK waking up the car constantly when you're home by disabling FordPass. Driving and charging the car for probably 1-2 hours per week should be enough to keep the 12V in decent shape. Leaving the car on or using a battery tender shouldn't be necessary unless you're seeing the battery drop below 50% SoC.

No. This topic pertains to "failed" OTAs only. "Not complete" is something different that you can't do anything about.

Just to throw out another thought, dropping down to daily level 1 charging speeds helped us out. My wife only drives a few miles a day and with 48A home charging our nightly charging only lasted 10 minutes. I don’t think this was enough time to charge up the 12v battery. After dropping to a low 14A, that extended the duration the 12v battery would charge.

You need a shaman who uses chicken bones, goat entrails, and rabbit feces in order to ensure proper OTA installation. Or you could just clear duck blind mud in the frunk. ??

If I remember correctly on here, I read that Ford recommends that you "run" the car for a minimum 30 minutes a day especially if your not driving it much. This helps with the 12V as well as "potential" updates.

Does a 'Not completed' OTA ever iron itself out? Been stuck on 6.3.0 not complete for a while.

It will not disappear until another OTA is installed. Which could be months in many cases. So you may have to ignore it for a long time since there's nothing you can do but wait.

I have been stuck on 6.3.0 for a few weeks. It's not comforting to see something suggesting a problem and not know why. It's almost as bad as a check engine light.

Thanks for the info....how does that work? I have two 2023s and one is on 6.14 and the other one is 'stuck' trying to install 6.3.

I would assume with one so far behind that they wouldn't need to wait to push updates to get it current? Or can they skip all the intermediate ones and just jump to say 6.15 when it comes out?

Has anyone got past a failed 6.3.0? either with a successful install at a later date or subsequent updates?
I’m stuck on this update.
