After searching, apparently simply taking a smaller drill bit and drilling into the pin @ the center of the rivet works as well.
But what you did instead was soften the rivet with heat gun and push in the pin?

Exactly....some people might be able to just push it out with out heat. Seemed a less risky way than drilling for me.After searching, apparently simply taking a smaller drill bit and drilling into the pin @ the center of the rivet works as well.

I agree, when I ordered mine I told the salesman I did not want the front license plate bracket. He deleted the no charge item and commented that if it isn't in the car it won't be installed by his guys. Mine arrived with a clean front end. Now we know it is a factory installed item so if you don't want it; tell your dealer to delete it from the order.I would take a look at your window sticker.

just a little dirt that crept in during transit. wiped right off.
You HULK!I removed mine.
Step one- wedge 4 fingers behind right side of bracket .
Step two- yank the thing off shattering said plastic rivets.
Step three- place three new plastic rivets to fill holes.
So when is your new GT front end supposed to arrive?Step one- wedge 4 fingers behind right side of bracket .

Yup.Are the rivets plastic? After they are heated do you punch in the middle?
