Thanks, didn't want to put the whole thing in, didn't think anyone would have that as their user nameThat's not who you think it is.
Yeah, Robert registered that username earlier this year and hasn't posted since. We can only assume he got scared off by the onslaught of alerts he got every time somebody tagged him. Thanks, didn't want to put the whole thing in, didn't think anyone would have that as their user name
I get that, but one of the things that worked with PAAK was after ~20'ish feet, it would beep, sometimes sooner. I park in an Alley and the last thing I need is walking away, heading to the house and some alley denizen noticing that the car didn't beep and me not noticing...The 2.5 minutes is the default, when it doesn't trigger on distance.
Poor Robert. Had to quit the forum because of all of the notifications. ??That's not who you think it is.
You’re far from the only person who didn’t read the manual (p. 76).Common for a car to have a lock button I use it often because walk away was inconstant.
I didn't until now. Thank you.Took me six months to notice this: above the unlock button on the front doors is a lock symbol molded into the pillar plastic. Am I the only one that did not realize it is functional?! Car locks automatically on walk-away, so not sure who needs this.
Why should people bother to read the manual when there are the likes of us who have (in depth) to answer the stupid questions. I have no problem with helping people but when the answer is in black and white in the manual, that should be their first port of call. You’re far from the only person who didn’t read the manual (p. 76).
Not everyone has the luxury of having a working walkaway lock function. We in the UK don't so it comes in handy and I use it a lotTook me six months to notice this: above the unlock button on the front doors is a lock symbol molded into the pillar plastic. Which is why I often answer with a more polite version of RTFM.Why should people bother to read the manual when there are the likes of us who have (in depth) to answer the stupid questions. Treat it like it is a touch screen rather than a physical button and just very lightly drag your finger across it, even slightly above it. Someone else called it a "creepy" touch. Is there a trick to getting the lock button to work? Mine works maybe once every 10 tries. Funny thing is the other day I had gloves on and it worked probably 50% of the time...
I use the 'lock' button on inside of door when exiting in situations where I want to lock the doors.... occasionally using the outside door pillar 7-8, 9-0 press, but that seems more finiky than the physical button inside the doorTook me six months to notice this: above the unlock button on the front doors is a lock symbol molded into the pillar plastic. But, is it in the manual?Yes.
