Mach-E now second best selling EV SUV in the US

Has anyone ever seen a Mach E commercial? I owned a Chevrolet Volt and a Honda Clarity and never saw a commercial for either of them. Marketing is job one for most companies.

I haven’t, but my coworker has. she always talks about the “glowing pony” on the front in the commercial.

Oddly 0-60 is one of the first things I check when shopping for an EV. Because who wants a 8 to 10 second 0-60 vehicle in this age?

Yah actually Erik I was being a bit disingenuous. No one asks specifically about 0-60 time but they do, on occasion, ask if the car is fast.

Full disclosure, there seems to be an inordinate amount of practical minded seniors at the events around here. Lots of older folks with disposable income. So not necessarily motorsport enthusiasts.

That sure is one way to spin Mach-E sales because they're still down YOY almost 6% as compared to last year. We'll see if they can bounce back that stock price since it's down around 21 percent from last year. Hopefully that new trademark on the F-200 is a sign of good things to come, but not holding my breath.

was just in Seattle for the week and I haven't seen so many EVs ever, so many MME and Rivian.

Come to Vancouver BC. The MME is breeding like rabbits.
Starting to see lots more Polestars too.

So Cal MME sales are brisk.

My dealer moves 40 MME per month and they buy them from other dealers.

Gas prices are $6/gallon and only going higher so this is pushing sales...

More inventory is probably true for most cars now. I just looked up Tesla MY inventory in my area and it's maxed out (200+) and there are up front price cuts (~$3k) as well.

And then you realize that Tesla has produced 889,015 EVs just in the first 6 months of this year and you realize just how much of a gap there is between the first and second spot.

It's also the #2 selling electric *SUV* in America; where Tesla and all the other makers have huge sales in non-SUV categories.
